Title: Photo Thread
Post by: Larissa238 on January 18, 2011, 07:39:58 PM
I don't know if this is allowed or not, but it would be nice to put a face to the names. I was going through the posts and I saw Velkyn say something and I looked at her gender and I'm like "Velkyn is a girl??" I guess I just think you all are guys.

Ever wanted to see a lesbian eating pussy on the board?

Want to know what a lesbian and her husband look like?

We had one of these a while back, but it has been a while.  OK, here's Pianodwarf!  And someone else.  (Hmm, you're a lesbian, I wonder whether you'll be jealous about the company I'm keeping, here... if you even know who that is, of course.)

@Piano- I know her face, but I can't put a name to it.

@Madbunny- I wish I could see more of your face!

@DV- You have really nice eyes. I love brown eyes, but overall, I'd say you're a cutie!

@Gnu- You look so soft! I want to snuggle with you at night!

@Velkyn- You are *so* pretty! I can just imagine you in an old Western style dress, rocking out

@HAL- Pretty much what I expected you to look like ;)

@Plethora- You are cool! I like Killswitch Engage (This Fire Burns... yes, I am a C.M. Punk fan, sadly... I've outed myself!)

@Zen- First thought- "She's a girl!" Second thought "I love those eyes!"

@Jynnan- Pretty! Although I would love to see you in long hair... I have a thing for long hair.

@Petey- Does the beard change with the seasons, too? And cute baby!

As for me, a bonus family photo!

In the back- V, my full brother, T, my full sister, me (we had just gotten home from a party, and I was the only one who had changed.. yikes!), and my half-brother (full Mexican) D. Front: My cousin, E.

We had another photo-thread a while back - unfortunately some of the links aren't working now, but you can still see yet another photo of Pianodwarf and the actress he's been stalking (he has hundreds), a pic of Seppuku in women's clothing, a nice shot of Kin Hell on a Harley-Davidson, and several photos of rubber fetishists. So what's not to like?

Rock mostly but I'm open to play just about anything.  The band I'm in sounds like 90's alternative rock.  We get compared to Nirvana and Foo Fighters a lot.

My new 6 string bass.

Title: Re: Photo Thread
Post by: rev45 on January 20, 2011, 11:15:53 AM
Yes I do.  The 4 string is my favorite bass I've ever owned.  I tried one at a guitar shop and I knew I had to get one.  When I wanted to expand my sound, I tried a few other brands but found myself loving the Schecter brand again so I went with a 6 string.

lol, Schecter makes a good bass, that's for sure.

I play Dean, ESP and, occasionally, Jackson guitars.

Super fat gauge for down-tuning :)

None that are any good. We did some videos at the last gig, but the sound quality was horrible. We are going to fix that soon, though.

Here's some mp3's I've been working on.

Somewhere Uptown (http://tinyurl.com/yjn7x25)

Mister Magic (http://tinyurl.com/4etbwoe)

Bottom's Up (http://tinyurl.com/4h5h4hx)

I also work part time building for Gadow Guitars (http://www.GadowGuitars.com).

What can I say?     absolutely stunning stuff Aga and I am an acknowledged lifelong addicted music nazi very hard to please.

Somewhere Uptown (http://tinyurl.com/yjn7x25)
beautiful flowing melody    the vocalist reminds me of very much of the clear brilliance of Greg Lake and the lot of ya are really producing superb goods

Mister Magic (http://tinyurl.com/4etbwoe)
smooth grooving cruise   reminded me of steely dan  very tight  very clean sound

Bottom's Up (http://tinyurl.com/4h5h4hx)
oh funk me dead!  you slapping darkhorse  and a really great lead into the track (I love a trickster potent beginning)

I love it, I really do.  three very diverse tracks means wonderful scope  please post more and get cracking ;)

of course I am making the assumption from what you said, that this is your band, and not just you playing and singing everything???

Title: Re: Photo Thread
Post by: Agamemnon on January 20, 2011, 01:58:30 PM
lol, thanks, KH. In Somewhere Uptown there was a local group looking for a bassist. I heard their demo tracks and they had no bass on that one. I wasn't able to join the band, but I added the bass track and re-mastered the original mp3 just because I liked the tune.

Mr. Magic is an old Grover Washington tune. That recording is from a band I formed a few years back called "Elements."

Bottoms Up is my cover of a Victor Bailey tune, but I never finished it. The drums on it were done by the same drummer from Elements. One of these days I'll have time I guess... :)

This Fire Burns is an awesome song ... I'm a sucker for heavy riffs with melodic choruses.

Me too... I love the contrast! I'm a music lover in general- I love almost every kind of music. Yes, country, rap, emo, pop, all of it! My playlist is a lot of Nine Inch Nails, TOOL, A Perfect Circle (Hubby, Geo, is a Mayanrd addict), Shinedown, Linkin Park, Goo Goo Dolls, Nickel Creek (bluegrass), and many random songs I've come across. I can listen to The Rolling Stones then Toby Keith, then Shakira, then Jack Off Jill... my music tastes are really random.

I personally hate picture taking and they never turn out good because I'm uncomfortable and too unenthusiastic for it to look good. So, I'll do a pic that I didn't know was being taken with crappy quality from the side!

Oh look!  Gnu IS soft and fluffy!
I am not, dammit! I'm mean, and moody, and mag...

<sigh>

Oh alright. As I've mentioned before, the name wildebeest is a misnomer; gnus may look fierce and wild, but they are essentially very timid creatures whose basic response to any problem is to run away from it very fast. While looking fierce. And wearing shades. And trying to look tough like Jim Morrison. Just like me.

Actually Aga, at about the time of that photo, I moved into a complete glam-rock thing based on Bowie, Roxy Music and Mott the Hoople. If I remember correctly (and I'm afraid I do), this involved wearing silver platform boots, velvet jackets, eye-makeup and lipstick. (And losing the beard; because that would look silly, right?).

I am relieved to say that no photographs of that particularly gnuminous phase of my life have survived. You'll have to use your imagination.

Moving on; fifteen years later, I'd abandoned my dreams of Being Jim Morrison, and instead decided to pursue power directly by becoming a politician. Rather stupidly, I joined a Party which reflected my political beliefs (the Green Party), thus ensuring that my dreams of power would remain dreams. Nevertheless, I did stand for Parliament in the UK General Election of '87, and I remain eternally grateful to the 383 people who voted for me.

This was the photo used in the campaign literature:

Too soft and fluffy, probably. Should've worn shades.

I like how the guy next to me (Damien) and I as the two metal heads are the only ones not smiling.

And the Viking me, because Thor loves me baby, the party was fancy dress (optional), but me and my friend (she was a pirate) were the only ones that went in fancy dress. :( It was almost like the scene from Only Fools and Horses.

PS Larissa, great dress! And headband! You look like you're going to sacrifice a goat, or something... I like that in a woman...

It's a dress made in the Tudor style, with matching headband and snood (hair cover). It sucks that it's night and you can't really see the black part of the dress... that dress is in storage in Los Angeles and too small for me to fit into now. One day I will get it out, dust it off, and put it back on and take a better picture of it.

This one is from a night out drinking with a few mates, the next morning, I checked on Facebook and thought, "wait a minute, is that my hand? Oh God, I didn't touch somebody's breasts did I?" Then came the sad realisation, they were my own. Yeah, I've lot 1 stone since the pics were taken, but I still have my womanly parts.

I remember them! I remember when watching TV when I was younger and a pop star was wearing one. It seems they didn't catch on, it seems in order to wear a skirt it either has to be a kilt or you have to be a drag queen, there's no middle ground.

Ehh, I do have an intro. thread, but it doesn't provide much info. about myself. Heh, I was scared.

I only went to a high school (which had very good courses, I still wish I knew about them earlier, but my counselors sucked all the cock [excuse my French, but they did], but I did plenty well in school) in the suburbs. Unfortunately, although I am intellectually capable of having debates, discussions, and the like, I am very unfortunate. You see, I err... It's gonna sound silly, because anyone can claim to have ADD or ADHD, but I am an actual person that truly has ADHD. Do some research on it; I feel too lazy to explain what actual, honest-to-goodness ADHD is and how it works and messes up a person.

I was accepted into Baylor University, but I decided to choose happiness for once and married frofrodajimmyboy (he's a member here, he and I originally met on a video game forum, and we started dating IRL). I could always have done better in all my work, but the focus part was always a problem; if I focused too much on something, I disassociated. It has been said somewhere that the actual ADHD tends to manifest itself into people with high IQ's/intellectual capability, but that sounds silly. Too silly. It's as if the brain was not meant to be perfect. Hmm. I am dissapointed in this God fellow.

P. S: Thanks. Heh. I don't see it. (It's a self-hate problem, it comes back to haunt me every once in a while).
P. S. S: Err, I was learning Chinese (Mandarin), but I had to stop because my family was losing funds. I learned some Latin, but unfortunately, I cannot read texts as fluently as I could before, but still.

Why are you all so old?

Kids today. Always complaining just because we got a head start. When I was your age we was clubbing mastedons over the head and I didn't have to learn to read in the first grade because it hadn't been invented yet. Reading, that is. My mom invented the first grade just to get me out of the cave. But you go ahead and gloat. Just because you can hula hoop good on that Wii thing and know what D&D means doesn't mean you're any better than us, though.

By "us" I mean the three of us that are over 50 and still alive. Most people who claim they're that old are lying. By 45, most folks are dead or in old folks homes. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I got to hug a purdy girl once. Her boyfriend hit me pretty hard with a battle ax afterwards, but it was worth it.  ;D

@ urs:

Many people can relate themselves to the whole distraction thing, but ADHD is a serious mental disorder, despite people saying, "Pfft, anyone can claim they have it, hell, they can diagnose you incorrectly," which is true. I'll go ahead and explain what I have. Wikipedia does a really good job describing what ADHD really is. In fact, let me get that article out and get another source. Also, it's something you are diagnosed with as a kid normally, but what happens usually is that people find out later in life. You can still get help, which is good. I was diagnosed in Argentina when I was 5-years old, and I had three therapists working on me so that I could pass my classes for once.

One thing that I noticed about myself is I sometimes get obsessed with certain things, and apparently, it is related to ADHD. Just very compulsive behavior. I also can't help but get twitchy and fidgety at the most random times.

Here is Wikipedia. The classification part is accurate. I am, unfortunately, the one in the middle (predominantly inattentive). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder) You can go down to comorbid disorders under Signs and Symptoms to get an idea of what other additional things ADHD can do to a person. I don't like it. It made my life miserable before I was sent to the mental institution. It was a whole cluster of problems I had, and to show the severity of my situation, I was hanging out with rape victims, sexual abuse victims, schizophrenics, self-haters (I still have that issue, but I definitely am better. Before, I had no control over it), and the like. In other words, I was not OK, but I'm just happy it gave me a great kick-start to a better life.

Here is an additional source. It's good to look at the other disorders/problems that go with ADHD, otherwise, you don't have it:

http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder/complete-index.shtml (http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder/complete-index.shtml)

Also... Fuck, I forgot. Maybe I'll remember later. Lost a thought.
Edit: I remember now. It has to do with medication. Oh, yeah, the ADHD medication. Don't do it. It's bull-shit. I never took it, but the only medications I had to take were anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds.

Oh, no, I've got it; I was diagnosed two years ago. I cut my doc's hair every two weeks, and he thought I was a good candidate, and after some research, I had to agree with him. He had me take a few tests, and he was right-o. I started off taking Adderall, which initially seemed like a godsend, but then I got really bitchy, and it turned into a love-hate relationship - I loved that I felt more functional, but I hated how it made me feel, which was either nothing, or bitchy. I started Wellbutrin in Dec. after I discovered some research that noted that it has been useful in treating mild to moderate ADD, and that's been much better; plus it really helps with the neuropathic pain I've had the last few years. It actually makes me a bit more focused than the Adderall did, too, without even a hint of the crankiness.

I also get obsessed with certain things: bright colors, hair, neuroscience, and all social sciences (don't even get me started on the random infatuations of my childhood - Chinese brush painting? For real?). I am finally putting it to good use and am back in school pursuing a psych degree. Plus, if the day ever comes that I can't physically do hair anymore, I will need a backup career that doesn't require coordination, balance, or fine motor skills. I still can't keep track of my pencils or my parking spots, but I have better coping skills than I did in high school, so I am doing alright so far. Thanks for the info, though; I appreciate it. Not only cute and smart, but nice, too? You're a triple threat!

At least the meds work on you. The reason that the 3 therapists that I got as a child didn't give me meds to make focus more was because apparently, I didn't need it. They worked me out through therapy, and I could start passing my classes. Problem was, they didn't fix the whole problem. They just made it so I can only do one task at a time exceptionally good, due to all my focus being on one task. It back-fired on me, so it's very difficult to focus even still. I do good and all, but it is unfortunate that I cannot be to my full capabilities. I never want to blame the ADHD, I blamed myself majority of my life, but that made matters worse. Thing is, it's something that you and I cannot control, as much as we want it. I tried so many methods to make it so I could make my focus problems better, such as:

The list could go on. I'm sure you try many of the things I tried!  :D And good luck to you. By the way, you're very pretty, much prettier than me I think haha. I'm not sure where I stand on the Level of Attractiveness scale, but after telling my husband about the boyfriends and relationship problems I had, he raged and told me, "Look, you have no reason to hate yourself, so why do you?". Fuck if I know, even today. Like I said, messed-up brain chemicals. I cannot appreciate myself as much as I would love to, especially because I set myself too many standards and I have obsession with trying to perfect everything, but I have more control over that now. It was my parents who were at fault in this, too. They always indirectly told me (myself being an extremely sensitive person, such as Tchaikovsky), "You aren't good enough, do better, you suck." Hmm, on that thought, they directly told me those things as well. They were not very supportive. They treated me like a mere child.

I can honestly say, they had no respect for me, and I always debated with them and tried to prove them wrong (that's how my knack for debate came about), but since they were adults and they said they were superior, I would try to stop, but that was stupid.  :P As I grew up more and more, they finally decided one day to not see a "rebellious" child (HAH! I wasn't, I was a very, very, VERY tame kid), but a more rationalizing type of child. Even then, the insults continued, so, like I gave a shit. It made me very upset; it was emotional abuse to say the least. I'm just glad I'm out of that house. They were cuckoo, but I still love them, as they love me. It was very hard to cope with two children (it wasn't just me, it's my brother as well) who have ADHD. The other two siblings are fine, which is so relieving to them...  I debated way too much with them, and they would beat me for that, especially my dad. In the end, I win, so it's all good. They are both receiving therapy as we speak. :3

I've also been to the hospital because I thought I had ADHD because I am easily distracted and forget the most normal things. My father had autism, so they were linking my behaviour to autism. It turns out that I'm mild autistic/ADHD, i.e. that I don't actually have ADHD or autism, but that my difficulties are caused by ADHD/autism-like behaviour.

I'm delaying, but I still have to make an appointment with the students' psychologist so that they can help me to get some structure in my life.

Aww, thanks! I like colors, in general. I don't have a favorite, because it's too hard to decide on just one. I go through phases where I develop "preferences" for certain colors, and you will see those preferences displayed in my appearance, but they change from week to week and month to month.

Nah, I actually killed her.  :blank: (For those that would take me seriously, yes, it is "slang". What happened is that when I wanted to quit a science project and do it on my own [not because she wanted a thing with me], she freaked out to over-whelming proportions, yelled at me, threw her books at me, and called me a bitch. Yeah. I stopped hanging out with her. I was upset because I thought she wasn't violent, even though a very large amount of the school thought so. Baaad experience.  :-\)

Sorry for the severe amount of heart palpitations.

That's fine. The black guy usually gets killed because he's also doing something fairly stupid. Like Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue. After hyper-intelligent sharks are released into the water, he stands alone in front of a large pool with his back turned and yelling a speech at the others......there's a term for this http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TooDumbToLive (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TooDumbToLive)

Besides, I'm far too awesome and badass to be killed like that. After the fundies have come and gone I'll be the guy standing amidst the rubble of the battle, holding a big gun (or sword) in my hand with two hot babes draped over me as I give a machismo-loaded stare into the camera before sweeping the babes in my arms in a kiss and proclaiming "Hail to the King, baby!"

I haven't hit that one yet - tons of stuff off the Gulf Coast, but not the Flower Gardens.

The Oriskany is actually a gorgeous dive - even at rec classes over Tech.  The tower is in 60feet, down to about 130 at the deck.  Tech guys can even swim through the hangars via open elevators on either side.  The bottom of the ship is actually down almost to the 400ft mark.

Just an astounding thing to see come up at you out of the bluewater.  How's the diving off of your coast?

BTW - it's not the best vid?  But it gives you an idea - these guys hit the tower only:

Pfff.  Galveston?  Muddy.  Fairly limited visibility, no shore dives, although there are some fun rigs where you can do spearfishing.

I usually fly to Cozumel or Belize because it's cheap.  Some day I want to make it to Thailand, but that's $$$.

Believe it or not there is an interesting place in Texas called "Valhalla" near Abilene.  It's an abandoned missile silo that filled up with water.  You can actually get credit for a high-elevation dive and a deep dive at the same time :)

Such magnificent rocks and living organisms. Pfft, no one ever thinks of a sponge as a "living organism"... It takes so long to create a coral reef. I just want to look at it without disturbing the fishies.  :-X

Hey, I did not do scuba just yet, but I like fishing. I caught a barracuda once, and also, my mother and I caught two sharks. Granted, they were horrible on the boat (they had to use the baseball bat with a nail), flopping around and biting. But they were delicious.

Pfft, no one ever thinks of a sponge as a "living organism"... It takes so long to create a coral reef. I just want to look at it without disturbing the fishies.  :-X

Besides, I'm far too awesome and badass to be killed like that. After the fundies have come and gone I'll be the guy standing amidst the rubble of the battle, holding a big gun (or sword) in my hand with two hot babes draped over me as I give a machismo-loaded stare into the camera before sweeping the babes in my arms in a kiss and proclaiming "Hail to the King, baby!"

you should look into changing your screen name to Shaft.

Did you ever hear that story about the time that Chuck Norris was living in Houston, back in the days when he was filming "Walker, Texas Ranger"?  I think it was in 1994, right around there, anyway.  He was walking down the street one day and a couple of guys saw him and started walking over to him.  He thought they were fans who were going to ask for an autograph, so he smiled at them as they came up to him because he likes giving autographs.  Then both of them pulled out knives and one of them said, "OK, Chuck, we know you have lots of money.  Hand it over!"  He was absolutely flabbergasted.  He just stood there looking back and forth between the two of them, then he finally managed to blurt out, "Are you insane?!"  They didn't back down, so...

The inevitable result followed, and a two-man patrol car showed up shortly afterward.  Both of the hoods had broken arms, the kind where the bone is actually sticking out, and were sitting there on the curb in agony.  The two cops just looked at Norris, then at the morons, then at each other, and then they just exploded with laughter.  "You did what?  Didn't you know who he was?"  One of them said, "Yeah, of course we did, we've seen him on TV.  But we thought all that karate stuff was fake!"

Chuck Norris does not even come close to being epic. His epicness is merely and informed ability http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InformedAbility (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InformedAbility) . If you don't believe me, watch Sidekicks, or look at Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos.

Just a few things I'd like to say.

1.)Chuck Norris is a midget, and I'm 6'3. So I've got at least a foot on him.

2.)My beard is at least 2wice as gangster.

3.)His martial arts might be impressive, but I practice the ancient oriental art of .357 teflon-coated hollowpoint. And I don't fire blanks. Neither do my firearms.

4.)I was aware of his alleged "epicness"... But I've never been big on trends, and Chuck's always just been a midgety Christian douche to me... Which is why I suppose I was concerned I was giving a douchey vibe and could thus be construed as a man to give lessons on being douchetastic to a Duke of douchedom.

But now that I know it was intended as a compliment, I thank you.

5.)Bubba Hotep rocked socks. And I hate Elvis, too. So that should tell you something.  ;)

6.)Bruce Campbell... That's a trend I can endorse. <STAMPED RAYMOND APPROVED>

7.)I noticed today that all my favorite things are no longer around. Hunter Thompson.  Planters Cheez Balls. Snapple Rain. Rage Against the Machine. Curtis Mayfield. Deadwood. Lemon Jolly Ranchers.

Rock and hip-hop died in the 90's... Sex requires a lot of TALKING afterwords with people I usually don't like very much and I really don't need the ego-inflation of the "conquest" anymore... The drugs are all overpriced and half the time they're dilluted...

All I have left that is pure is Cap'N Crunch and Sunsets. Somehow I thought the future was going to be better. It's 2011. I'm living in the FUTURE here! WHERE ARE THE GODDAMN FLYING CARS!!!???? WHERE IS MY CHERRY 2000!!?? AND WHO THE f**k'S IDEA WAS IT TO GET RID OF THE GODDAMN CHEEZ BALLS!!!!??? HUH!!??

Sorry. That's been building all day. I think I need to go pray now.

I agree, where are the cheez balls?  But I do have a solution.  If you get Utz Cheese Balls, in the barrel *only* (http://www.utzsnacks.com/store/p-484-barrel-of-cheese-balls.aspx (http://www.utzsnacks.com/store/p-484-barrel-of-cheese-balls.aspx) ) they are better, yes *better* ;D than the Planters cheez balls.  They use sour cream to make them and oh does it make a difference.

I second this. Being a metalhead I really dig this sort of style. I keep suggesting to my wife that she color her hair a bit (it's naturally black)... not as much as this... but with some dark purple in there or something.... it's not her thang. Oh well.

Thank you Larissa! My wedding dress is not a traditional. But then, my wedding wasn't traditional either.

Since we don't believe in "the white (innocent[1]) bride"
And since we don't believe in god, we were married in the town hall. Small romantic wedding.  ;D

Thanks! It's my favorite dress[2]

I had 2 degus at the time. I also had hamsters, and birds. Now I'm down to 4 guinea pigs. They are the only animals that communicate with sounds.

And I would also like a little hedgehog - but we don't have the space. But they are so cute!  :-*

Ha! Thank you. Here's the full size version. I edited the shadows on it to make them a little darker; it helps emphasize the brightness of the other colors.

edited to add: Zenzen, I meant to mention that we didn't have a traditional wedding, either. I had a fuschia colored dress (to match my hair), a friend of ours became ordained so that she could marry us in our house, and we spent the majority of the money on a huge reception and awesome honeymoon. Ha! Principally that they're hungry! I can't open the fridge door with a chorus of squeaks from the next room and anything that sounds like a bag of salad sends them into fits of glee. You know you've gone slightly crazy when you're in the fruit and veg aisle thinking about what the cavies would like for dinner before you think of your own meals.

First day in the outside run this year for ours today, nails clipped and off to enjoy the fresh air, which they promptly ignored by stuffing up the door to their igloo with hay. They were pleased to get back indoors to a nice clean pen, a fresh cardboard box to remodel and a little bit of lettuce, happy putt-putt noises all evening.

Chiguire?

The capybara [chiguire] looks cute like a guinea pig, to be steering off of the fact that I'd eat the capybara as well as I do guinea pigs in Peru.  :)

Every woman's body reacts differently on getting rid of the extra water and blood mass that accumulates from the pregnancy.

Left to right, top row... My old Pa, now 84..My snot nosed son, and nemesis when he wrecked my truck.. My snot nosed self before I got old and ugly...I was still ugly then..Geez..I look like 7 feet tall there..the rest are just short.
Middle row.. My schizophrenic step daughter before head shaved, My lovely little girl with the red shirt pretending to be in the middle of it all and the little grumpy looking short woman is my ex, who by the way wouldn't smile for a camera if you poked her in the eye with a sharp stick. She's standing up there believe it or not..
Bottom row,,  My "other" step daughter who actually sometimes makes sense then her son who had his head literally chopped off..it was a real bloody mess, but we had to do it for the picture..and finally my first grand daughter blowing a bubble.. That kid was the one who when I was only 32 called me *gasp* Grandpa!

There.. You have it now. Happy? I bared my soul to the whole world and I now feel so violated.. &)
Maybe the reason I have pinched nerves in my back was from bending over for 22+ years to kiss my ex.  :P

Yay! Mram showed himself. Your ex was really standing?! Jeez.

You have a lovely family, mram. Handsome son, beautiful daughter. They couldn't have turned out like that if you were as ugly as you say. ;)

Since this is a photo thread, here's me as of recently [a few days ago].

(http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/5605/123yf.th.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/580/123yf.jpg/)

Me and the beach, right by my grandmother-in-law. The pregnancy made me bloat. But, I have been exercising every day, whilst taking care of my diet. So hopefully, I'll return to my regular body shape in a month. I would prefer that, but a month and half or two months is OK, I guess. Every woman's body reacts differently on getting rid of the extra water and blood mass that accumulates from the pregnancy.
How far along are you, LadyA?

You should bounce back quickly, especially since you're in your 20s. If it takes longer than you wish for, though, don't be surprised. Think of what your body is doing and has to recover from!

I am seven months pregnant.  :) I'm almost there! I'll reach eight months in late June [I think, according to when I took the pregnancy test, it'll be on June 26th... It's 24-28, don't remember the specific date... I'll remember!].

I can only hope that my body reverts back to it's normal body shape within 2-3 months time. I walk every day [I make sure it's more than 30-minute walks], I have a good diet, and I take good care of myself. I don't know how my body wants to work though!  ;D I'll just make sure to keep at it by keeping myself active with the baby. That'll be nice, with my baby sling and all.

I just want to revert back because to be honest, I like my body. And I like putting the pretty clothes that I have in my closet because my body is nice. It would be nice to be able to do so again sooner !  :D

That was my daughter alrighty.. from the mouths of babes.  :D
My grand daughter belongs to the one with the long hair on the left..same one who shaved her head looking for listening devices. Kind of sad.. When I left Ohio for TX she was fine..a wonderful mother and so on.. The schizophrenic stuff began right after I left.. She destroyed her daughters porcelain dolls looking for bugs and noises, busted all the walls of her apartment looking for the noise, ripped up all the furniture and so on.. THEN came to Texas with mom then once accused me of raping her.. luckily that went nowhere..  &)
She's back in Ohio with mom doing better..she takes her medication only because mom makes her take it..

This thread takes me back to earlier this year.  Here's one of me and my band playing a gig in Indianapolis.  I'm the moron in yellow.  I just wanted to blend in with the crowd.

Ahhhh. Rockin' the V lol.

I had a Virgin like 10 years ago... Or was it a Bitch? Gah, whatever, what a piece of s**t that thing was. B.C. Rich is selective in what kind of good vs. suck products it puts out. Do they even still make those?

Never liked the V's much although they were almost universally superior to the other Rich designs. I've played some with monster tone (usually custom pickups), great action, all that... but they're just so damn uncomfortable for any posititon unless it's standing with a strap. And even then, the narrow body, the weight distribution (way ass heavy), the way the strap hangs... always felt weird to me. Just never grabbed me. <shrug>

I mean sure, you can always get the thing to stradle your leg like it's giving you a lapdance and play vertical, but my leg always goes to sleep after 15 minutes or so.

Vs are iconic though. You see a dude hop on stage with a V, it's a safe bet you're not going to hear the blues.  ;D

If you've got decent pickups and a stomp box, I bet she rumbles nice through that halfstack.

I main a custom American Strat with Satriani humbuckers my own self. Rosewood neck, black on black with a nice big "GUINESS" sticker across the bottom to class it up. Always wanted to get 24 frets and briefly thought about scalloping the neck a while back, but ultimately I had 100 other things I needed to spend the money on and really, scalloping always seemed gimmicky, and it's not like it's something you can un-do if you don't like it.

Don't have a picture handy unfortunately. Probably for the best; don't want this thing turning into GearFest 2011. Anyway, get yer metal on broseph. \m/

^^^

I'll tell ya brah ... this guitar I'm playing (LTD Blacky) is light as fuck and plays like a dream. It's well balanced so it's really comfortable and the action is super low.

24 Extra Jumbo frets, 25.5" scale, neck-through alder body, ebony Fingerboard, EMG H2 pickup and an original Floyd Rose with a locking nut.

Here's a pic with the headstock:

(http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/3973/espl.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/638/espl.jpg/)

My other guitar, which I still own and use for recording and as a back up for live shows, is a Dean ML Warbird. I love this guitar as well and it's shape is comfortable bit this one is heavy as fuck ... one time, after a gig, my back hurt for 2 days. Never happens with my light LTD. Must be the mahogany body. I don't gig this guitar unless I have to ... it's still a good studio guitar.

22 frets, 24.75" scale, neck-though Mahogany Body,, 2 Humbucker pickups, Licensed Floyd Rose Tremolo:

My dream guitar has the last 6 frets scalloped for extra solo playability.... but I wouldn't go for a fully scalloped fretboard.

btw ... never played a B.C. Rich ... and you're right about flying V's being a bitch to play sitting down... that's where my ML shaped guitar is much more comfortable with that third pointy bit ...

So one guitar is light as fuck and the other is heavy as fuck?  Kinda makes you wonder what fuck actually weighs.  :P

The paint job on that warbird is killer man!

Now that you mention it, I remember my Virgin was just ridiculously heavy. I never could figure out why... By surface area, it's less guitar than my Strat. The thing was just DENSE. Seriously, in my memory it was almost twice the weight of a standard guitar. Go figure.

Mine was red though, and it had a stabby headstock instead of the symmetrical ones they have now. The action on it was terrible lol... "Spongey" is the way I always described it. And even with two humbuckers, the tone on it was always weak, like my guitar had just gotten over the flu or something. Kind of tinny, too.

I ended up pawning it for like $100.00 back around 2005. And I'm a guy that thinks pawning an instrument is a sin. I just hated that fucking guitar lol. Still feel a little bad about it; it was a Christmas gift from my folks. Taught me a valuable lesson though: Don't judge a book by it's cover, and don't buy a guitar just because you think it looks cool. PLAY the damn thing first and make sure it doesn't suck a sack of dix.  ;D

<shrug> Meh. I was like 16 when I got the thing. What did I know?
