I haven't gotten that one yet, but I got an "over resource limit" message a few times yesterday when there were only six or seven others on the site. This may be hopeless. We are the Titanic without a captain.

Or god hates us. But I doubt that. If he really hated me, for instance, he'd make me use a Windows machine.

But that's forbidden...

Nam, that is what happens to people without a soul.

I got that the other day when I tried to post a reply, so I would add part of my comment and hit preview. If it would preview successfully, I would add a little more and a little more until I figured out what the server didn't like. For me, it was the word girls. But I can type girls here and I have no problem getting it to post.

Now getting "over resource limit".

This was my third try in 20 minutes.

I actually tried that before creating this topic. Didn't work.

I'm getting a similar error when I try to edit a post I just made.

"Forbidden

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

It sounds like the same error.

I've been getting this error all day, trying to reply to Junebug in the personal support area. I got the same error when I tried to start a new topic to reply to her. Is it that section that's bolloxed up? I was able to post in the test section.

Can post a very, very brief reply to Junebug, not not even a small paragraph's worth. I tried to put my reply to her in the test area ... it wouldn't post there either, and I can't send it to her via PM. I'm stumped.

This is ridiculous. After trying at least a dozen times, off and on for hours, I finally replaced the usual name for diazepam with diazepam and it posted.  :o Can't post the "v" word here either. WTH???

I could not post a reference to  g a y    s e x (don't ask) and got the forbidden screen. Finally figured out that was tripping it up. Weird

But it does sound like death creeping up...

Given my experience (above) and yours, I can only presume that the server is slowly entering dementia.

So we may be on barrowed time again on this site?  I guess it is all part of the life cycle.

I find myself wondering if there was some kind of filter put on to prevent posts from the pedophile who was on here awhile ago, and/or other folks posting about controversial subjects, and/or spammers. Why it would cause an error is beyond me, but words like "girl" and v a l i u m and g a y sex, seem to point to spam/troll prevention. If this is the case, clearly their filter has a bug.

It didn't allow [g]ay sex, and [V]alium. Separately, or together.

We had a pedophile here a while back?  I must have missed that.  We don't get many Catholic priests here.

I think I remember him. But why is [V]alium not allowed? That's just stupid.

Thanks for the experimental results Nam!

I wondered if [v]alium was disallowed because maybe its a drug that spammers posted about? Let's try erectile dysfunction.

Yup, [v]iagra triggers the error.

So...not exactly helpful[1], but:

[9/25/2013 2:14:15 PM] JavaScript - http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/forums/index.php?action=post;topic=25354.0;last_msg=570783

There appears to be a server-side error of some kind happening.  You guys are correct insofar as it probably has something to do with a post filter of some kind, but digging around the SMF v2.0 source code (and trying to open certain scripts directly on this server, resulting in it accusing me of a Hacking attempt...) isn't helping me figure out if a) a filter plugin is in effect and b) if that really is the cause.

Long story short...unless someone can do some server-side administration, there probably isn't anything that can be done.
 1. Actually, pretty much devoid of any helpfulness

^^^^ I followed you up until "but"

I think this place is a ship adrift...  The server is called Mary Celeste

I have gotten this message but only when I try to post certain things. I did not think about the fact that maybe the site was filtering certain words or phrases.....

Nobody here can.  We cannot even submit repair tickets to the host.  Only the owner can do that.  And he doesn't.
