Camp Quest Texas
« on: August 18, 2009, 11:44:36 AM »
Hey all, for those that haven't heard, Camp Quest is coming to Texas.  You can check out the website here: http://campquest.churchoffreethought.org/  Registration has been extended to the 29th (The day before camp) and kids age 5-15 are welcome to attend (I know the website says 5-13, but that was a miscommunication). If you want a CQ t-shirt for your child you should register before the 20th since they need time to place the order and print the shirts.  The camp in located in Princeton Texas which is about 30 minutes north of Dallas.

Yesterday, Amie Parsons, the director of Camp Quest Texas interviewed with CBS 11.  You can see the article and footage on their website: http://cbs11tv.com/religion/atheist.atheist.camp.2.1132718.html

I'll be volunteering at the camp and am excited and hope that you can help us spread the word.

Awesome stuff Whitney,  I read some of your stuff and feel it as you might feel it.  I don't know everything and I know my own feelings about not believing and not having superstitious crap in my head anymore makes life easier for me lol.  I learn more each day and my mind is open now and forever untill I can learn it all.  Thank you for the info. 8)

whatever people are experiencing when they experience God, it's not something they're perceiving in the external world. It's something their brains are making up.

Good on you guys :) *raises rebellious fist*
Jamie: I understanding these things [SCUBA tanks] have about a million—or actually, it's 1.3 million—pounds of explosive force. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds like a lot.
