Friend,
In response to your video "proving nobody can get into heaven," I've
come up with some answers to your questions, here they are:

*Step 1.) Love your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength,
and love your neighbor as yourself.  *This is the most important law, in
it all the other laws are summed up, this is what Christ is talking about.

*Step 2.) Sell everything.  *He was talking to the rich young ruler
here, not all verses in scripture are implied to everyone.  He is saying
this to this man because he is rich and loves his possessions more than
god, therefore contradicting the first "step" as you call it. This would
be something extremely difficult for him to do.

*Step 3.) Hate father, mother, children, brothers, sisters, own life. *
In saying to hate them, he is meaning that we should "hate" them, in
comparison to them, he also says this another way in Matthew 10:37,
saying that we should not love anyone more than we love Christ, because
he is God, and therefore perfect.

*Step 4.) Eat flesh, drink blood.  *He's talking about communion here,
he says in Matthew 26:26-29 that the bread we eat at communion
represents his flesh, and the wine is blood.  So yes, we must eat is
flesh and drink his blood.

*Step 5.) Become like little children.  *Christ here is talking about
becoming "child like."  If you haven't ever noticed, children are very
loving and will believe what their parents tell them.  Christ is calling
us to have that love and believe what he says.  We are to have the
mindset of a child.

*Step 6.) Be born again. * This is a good one, note Jesus' response to
Nicodemus when asked how to be born again, he tells him he must be born
of the water and the spirit.  This is done by believing (being born in
the spirit) and being baptized (being born in the water.)  These two
things must take place for one to enter into heaven.  We must not only
believe in the Son of God, but we must be baptized into his death (note
Mark 16:16.)  And about the wind, can you really tell me where it starts
and ends?  The literal "the wind originates at this exact point and ends
at this one?"

*Step 7.) Righteousness must surpass the Pharisees. * This is simply
explained in one verse, 2 Corinthians 5:21 "He made Him who knew no sin
to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of
God in Him."  See, when we are "in Him" (note Galatians 3:27) we become
his righteousness and because he was the most righteous person to ever
walk the earth, that is the most righteous we can become.

*Step 8.) John 3:16. *Ah yes, this is the most famous verse in the
bible, also the most misquoted.  See in order to fully understand this
verse, you must first understand "biblical belief."  What it means by
believing is not just that (believing) but actually putting action to
work, note also John 3:36 says that everyone who believes in the Son has
life, but he who does not OBEY the Son shall not see that life.  There's
more than just believing, say you lived on the second floor of an
apartment building and it caught fire, all of a sudden a fireman with
his ladder crashed through your window and said "you must follow me to
get our alive!" and you said "I believe you!" do you actually live? The
answer is no.  You must actually get up and go to the fireman and go
down the ladder like he says to or you will in fact die.

Salvation is in all actuality attained not in belief alone, but also
through baptism.  Read Mark 16:16, Acts 2:37-38, Acts 8:26-40, Acts
16:25, Acts 22:16, Galatians 3:26-27, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:11-13,
1 Peter 3:21, James 2:19-22, 24, and 26 and you will see what I mean.
If you have any other questions, they are more than welcome.  Please ask
anything you want and I will try my best to answer.

Was the "good thief" next to christ on the cross saved, or not? If so, when was he baptized? If not, how did Jesus see him in paradise?

Luke 23

39One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, "Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!"

40But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?

41"And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."

42And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!"

43And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

  • This is just a simulation.

WOWIE!!! Christian honesty, whod've thought!

Well excuse me, I've reached the age of adulthood and a mindset to match which allowes me to float through this world receiving a pay check every month for a job well done so I can support myself. And a mature mindset that allowes me to not indulge in every silly craving I could come up with. I don't need to act like a little kid and Cherie pick some bronze age doctrine to be a good person. How to be a good person is not one of the world's biggest mysteries you know. Being taken by the hand by some 'holy' text on a scroll that you yourself decided to be worthy as a guideline is indeed completely puerile and therefore entirely superfluous to a grown up.

there was a time in my life when I wasn't very kind to myself and according to your doctrine, it would have been perfectly valid to be an a-hole to others as well. We both know that this isn't an accurate interpretation and do you know why? common sense!. Try it sometimes, you will find it works perfectly because you are simply a decent human being.

Rant over.
