love the videos [#1639]
« on: July 26, 2009, 08:33:54 PM »

Well done. I just watched a bunch of your videos today and I love how clearly you explain that religion is a delusion. If I can get my Christian friends to sit through some of your videos it would shock me to see them take their faith seriously. In my opinion, fantasy books like Lord of The Rings are just as reasonable as the Bible. Why not make a religion about Lord of The Rings?

Agreed. Lord of the Rings always seemed far more reasonable than the bible. It certainly seemed to reflect actuality to a far greater degree by comparison.
What is above all needed is to let the meaning choose the word, and not the other way around.

Jamie: I understanding these things [SCUBA tanks] have about a million—or actually, it's 1.3 million—pounds of explosive force. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds like a lot.

Although the videos are not mine I'm glad you enjoyed them.  Rational people like yourself are much needed in this world.
