Hello Everybody

Hi,  Tim here from Long Island.    41 years old, catholic as a kid, grew up with questions and such and made up my own mind about 15 years ago.  Still a religious history buff, now just enjoy it as a really interesting story.  Found this site after reading the Friendly Atheist, looking forward to reading and learning more.

The word "god" should be abandoned and a set of non-prejudicial alternatives found. An awful lot of arguments would simply disappear when folk realize they've simply been fighting over etymology.
