I Mentioned Your Site In My Video [#1193]

Hello,

I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your videos and that I mentioned your website on my video "A Challenge To Christians."

I was the Senior Director at the second largest Christian television network in the U.S. for eleven years. I was a Christian until a couple of years ago when I decided that my beliefs were fraudulent.

Your site has been very instrumental in my "re-programming." So, thank you. I have decided to post my own videos to reach out to my Christian friends with the truth.

Hey Guys,

Thank you for your kind words. The first video is starting to take off and I will post two more by the morning. Thanks to the moderators for posting my message and video. I really wanted to take a different approach in reaching out to my friends in the Christian world. I want to deliver this message with kindness to be more effective. It's difficult to keep my sarcastic side down, but If I'm really interested in converting some of these people, It's probably the best approach.

I edit a lot of my posts. The reason being it to add content or to correct grammar/wording. All edits to remove wording get a strike through through the wording.

Lanny, I must admit, the first time around I didn't watch your video but just read the text of your message.  9 times out of 10 I don't watch videos but I came back and watched yours.

Very good job!  Very nice video with a very nice flow and good points.  I'll be paying attention to any and all future videos of yours.

I might actually consider posting a link to your videos on my website.  Very nicely done.  I'm totally with you on the gentle approach, though I must fight back my sarcasm quite regularly, too.  I was a Christian for about 25 years and then started "shedding" (as I call it) the beliefs, etc.

Just out of curiosity, what was the last straw for you?  Why did you finally leave christianity?

Actually, it was because my best friend had decided he was an atheist. We worked together in the ministry years ago. My first reaction was to try to talk him back into the fold. Then, the more we talked, the more I had to come to grips with my own questions.

To make a long story short, we now work together on material for the videos.
