the video [#146]

so prety much in that video ur questioning us as people and not god? hmm i just don't understand why you would want to bring people down. religion can cause so many wars but in your answers where god is immaginary you say that men wrote the bible but then in ur questions you ask why god says these things in the bible. if god didn't write the bible, then how are YOU sure hes saying these things? the bible is a giant metaphor for the way that life should be lived and their is and always will be corruption in everything. that does not exclude christianity, and the fact is that when you live in a society 2000 years ago where powerful, arrogant men control everything and you have people like ourselves who fear the unknown, they will write violent things about death and killing homosexuals. Dont hate on christians because they can wake up in the morning and belive that their will always be someone looking out for them, even when people like you take the fact that their are people out their suffering and use it to change put down peoples religious beliefs.

Because you make the claim that the Bible was written/inspired by God.
If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race.

It's just quicker to say it this way. When we discuss Charles Dickens, we all understand that the characters in his books are man-made too. Nevertheless, we have no trouble saying, "In the book, Oliver Twist said, such-and-such," and everybody understands that we mean "Oliver Twist, the fictional character created by Charles Dickens." It is not necessary to explain in every breath that we think poor Oliver is made up.

When we say the Bible is man-made, we mean that the characters in it are fictional, or at least fictionalized. Including all gods.
