amputees? specifically the section on Jeanna, the girl who survived rabies.
Jeanna survived rabies because of a controversial new treatment, in which
she was forced into a medical coma, where it was theorised that doing so
would stop the rabies spreading and killing her. The theory and science was
proven correct, and it worked. Such treatment has been used again, and been
successful again on others, since Jeanna. I do not have sources at hand to
explain the science behind it myself, but you shall be able to find it on
the internet. Sometimes this treatment has been used, but has not worked -
it is thought that it needs to be used at a specific point in the
progression of rabies in the body.
I understand your point of using the event as an example, to prove that
prayer gives the same results as no prayer (yes, no or maybe) and is
irrelavent to the outcome of a situation (and of course that it does not
work!) but I thought that you might be interested in putting this
information up somewhere - as it was definitely not prayer that cured her.
It was medical science.
God is being used as an excuse for the brilliant minds of men in regards to
medicine and saving lives. I cannot believe that some say it was the prayer
circle that cured her. Credit where credits due, I say. It's quite
disrespectful to ignore the brilliant discovery of a medical team, and call
it 'God' - I'm sure you agree!
