When Fox News headlines aren't right-wing enough
« on: April 25, 2018, 08:47:40 PM »

This is one of the Disqus Faith & Religion channel moderator's gems - she's so down on transgenders that she refuses to even call Chelsea Manning by her new legal name.

Most of the time when reporting a news story on her channel, it's a direct cut-and-paste of the Fox News story.  Here, Lady Checkmate takes all instances of the name "Chelsea" in the Fox News story and manually changes them all to "Bradley".

Original headline:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/14/chelsea-manning-confirms-senate-bid-says-yup-were-running.html?intcmp=ob_article_sidebar_video&intcmp=obnetwork

Lady Checkmate's new headline:
https://disqus.com/home/discussion/channel-newsnetwork/bradley_manning_confirms_senate_bid_says_yup_were_running/

She makes no mention of having done it at all, just thinks everyone will roll with it.  And they do.

It amazes me to see the vitriolic hostility towards transgender people. I mean, even *if* this were a choice to be made, so what? What harm is done to society if a man wears a skirt or a woman presents as a man? What possible threat could they present that requires such watchfulness and suspicion? Do they think most of the population will up and change their sexual identity? Do they think they will be forced to? For a group that assumes so many [millennial] people today are "special snowflakes" who demand "safe spaces" and continual handouts, this group gets their panties in the biggest twists I've ever seen!

Well, the level of denial in these people is through the roof...it is so bad in fact that some of them refuse to call it gay marriage, what they say instead is gay "marriage"...note the disapproving quotes.  And Christian News Network will even do that in their own headlines!
