Testing God [#761]
« on: December 02, 2008, 07:03:09 PM »
After reading Deuteronomy 6:16, how are you justified for testing God who is so real.  Ask yourself if you are doing this out of love or out of your own desire.

After reading I Kings 18:21-38, ask yourself "why does the bible contradict itself on this very point?"

And let's not forget the accounts of Thomas and Gideon testing God, too.
If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race.

Why, is he worried he will fail?
If you are following God why can I still see you?

Do not test the creeds I have created for I do not want people to abandon them for reason and rationality!  Otherwise, how will I make my money and control people?

Tests are hard for the gods.
The whole point of science is that most of it is uncertain. That's why science is exciting--because we don't know. Science is all about things we don't understand. The public, of course, imagines science is just a set of facts. But it's not.  Freeman Dyson

Hmm, I wonder... does the bible ever say "Do not test Satan"? Maybe we could prove that he doesn't exist, instead.
Some say I am the cool Tom... others wouldn't.

A god is real? How? Where? Who? What? When?

Deuteronomy 6:16 God is not to be tested...

1 Kings 18.  God was tested and God answered with his presence.

Need I say more when I say that the Bible is self contradictory?
