I not only dated a theist, I married her. We simply agreed to disagree. The kids went/are going to a Catholic school. I consented to never 'preach' to the kids, but did insist on always answering direct questions. My daughter would, children's bible in hand, come at me with gotchas ... and leave frustrated when I could explain all of it. My wife ended up having a bit of a revelation when she painted herself into a corner trying to explain heaven
. In the end, she realised that a) it made zero sense and b) she was making things up as she went along. My wife is atheist now as is my son, my daughter is bordering on deism.
Now, as it partains to eh!'s predicament. eh!, I have to concur with jdawg70 in particular. You KNOW that you're being dishonest with her. You ARE looking for our approval so that you screw her (over) and still feel good about yourself.
Be straight up with her.
