Blood Moon

I hope you guys have a view of the lunar eclipse tonight. It's amazing, and no surprise it carried so much superstitious weight!
Actually it doesn't. One could conceivably be all-powerful but not exceptionally intelligent.

It was cloudy here. :(
If we ever travel thousands of light years to a planet inhabited by intelligent life, let's just make patterns in their crops and leave.

I tried to get Kobo to howl, no such luck. Very cool to see on such a clear night. is it two more nights?
The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and tradition. If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow, you are not understanding yourself. Truth has no path. Truth is living and therefore changing. Bruce lee

I stayed up to watch it. Dead tired today but totally worth it. I took my telescope out and watched the shadow of the earth creep across the surface of the moon. Really cool! No really, it was very cold outside here - 27 degrees Fahrenheit.

Same here. I ended up watching it in real time on the NASA channel.

You are all suffering from delusions and the TV show is a forgery - it never happened, it's all done with CGI. How do I know? Well, here in the UK, the Moon is quite normal.

WorldNetDaily Says Lunar Eclipse Was A Divine Warning To Obama.

Citing the president's comments from January — “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone” — about using executive orders and executive actions in the face of congressional obstruction, right-wing pastor Mark Biltz told WND today that the “blood moon” is a divine warning to Obama that God has “more than a pen and a phone in his hand.”

Interestingly, people are making much hay because the eclipses (three more in the next year and a half) all land on jewish holidays.  That's unusual, but not all that shocking since the jews base their holidays on a lunar calendar and on full moons.  The moon has to be full for an eclipse.  So this sort of thing was bound to happen eventually.
