How do you reoncile the fact that you claim to hate indoctrination and listening to what others say when atheists form their opinions based on what Dawkins, Hitchens, and Harris say?

Wrong again, Mr. "skeptic". I hadn't even heard of any of those guys until I joined this forum. And even then, only after a long while. And even then, I don't give two shits what they say about God; only what they say in their respective areas of study. And even then, I only know Dawkins's and Hitchens's areas of study. And I'm not even sure about Hitchens's.

So I take it that when an atheist tries to lecture me on evolution, I will calmly say "You are not a scientist. it's not your field of study."

Would that be OK?

Whoa whoa, slow down there.

A: as "atheist" is the lack of a belief, you cannot make the claim that it is fact that atheists hate indoctrination and form opinions from Dawkins (etc).
B: most quotes from those people as factual, and are good to use when discussing the relevant topics.
C: please try to remember the definition of atheist, and thus choose better wording.

And again, i would like you to show that omnipotence is not nonsense.

What are you trying to prove?

That God is only 99.99999999999999999999% omipotent instead of 100%?

Agreement and indoctrination are two different things. Personally I have never quoted any of them on here.

If they just insert it into conversation, go for it.  Just make sure that you didn't ask a question about it first, or display an incomplete or erroneous level of knowledge about it.  Since it clearly isn't YOUR field of study, you will of course not claim to have an opinion on it in future.
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

These people are Christians. They are Christian leaders. There are many more like them. They speak to the converted. This is the beginning of a fundamentalist state.

Look up the people, see who they are and what they represent. You can see how they think... or rather "don't think."

You are going to tell me that "These people are not Christians!" that would be stupid, they are.

What are you trying to prove?

Nothing really, rather I am awaiting you to prove that omnipotence can exist.

That God is only 99.99999999999999999999% omipotent instead of 100%?

99% of infinity is still infinity.
Are you really that dull, or did you fail maths class?

So I take it that when an atheist tries to lecture me on evolution, I will calmly say "You are not a scientist. it's not your field of study."

Would that be OK?

They are trying to use the religion for control and power. This was the complete opposite of what Jesus said. Don't worry, when the tribulation occurs, these people will be worshipping the Beast.

If they do not know enough about evolution, be my guest.

That is my point. Atheists like to claim that most Christians don't know anything about evolution because they don't study it, yet they don't blink an eye when a non-scientist atheist explains evolution.

Why the double standard?

Depends. If the atheist has actually learned about evolution from scientific sources, then it's not OK. If the atheist has no idea what he/she is talking about (like saying that we evolved from monkeys), then you could say "You have no idea what you're talking about". Unfortunately for you, I have yet to hear an atheist talk out of their ass about evolution.

Most Christians know jack shit about evolution, a quick youtube can show it, heck Ken Ham, and other theists out there are frighteningly ignorant.

You do not have to be a scientist to discuss evolution, but you do need to get your information FROM a scientist.

Well atheists NEED evolution. It's unfalsifiable, which makes it non-scientific first off. So atheists will never say that evolution is wrong because then they are forced to admit there is a Creator.

You can't repeat any experiments in evolution. You can't say "if we do X, Y, Z, then bees will evolve." It offers no predictions.

Why aren't the extinct creatures evolving again and coming back?

Well atheists NEED evolution.

No...we really don't.

It's unfalsifiable, which makes it non-scientific first off.

Of course, this is a lie...

So atheists will never say that evolution is wrong because then they are forced to admit there is a Creator.

Atheists could technically say nothing happened, or that some other process occurred.

You can't repeat any experiments in evolution. You can't say "if we do X, Y, Z, then bees will evolve." It offers no predictions.

Err, yes we can.

Shouldn't you listen to the experts?

Definitely, if they supported a majority consensus, (which doesn't actually exist in religion). The world is so full of different religions and different sects and denominations that there is no consensus which experts agree on.

Unfortunately, you keep proudly stating that everyone is led astray by demons and you are the exception. So I should also ask you if you think you should listen to the majority of experts on the religions of the world? Do you want to listen to the experts on Krishna?

All you have to do to prove evolution wrong is find a dog skeleton in Precambrian rocks.

Evolution offers many predictions and applications in medicine.

Creatures evolve in their environment. If the environment disappears the creature will not come back and there will usually be more advanced creatures to hinder it. There are some famous examples of similar creatures evolving more than once, such as the sabre tooth cat.

"Finding a dog skeleton in the PreCambrian" would not prove the theory wrong. Scientists would just say "dogs are older than we thought." All of the evidence is molded to fit the presupposition of evolution theory.

I would never believe a word of evolution again, if a dog skeleton was found in the Precambrian. The reason is that there would be no context for it. A dog is already known to fit into a sequence. If the sequence is broken, evolution is not true.

Er… no, that’s what low intellect Chistians believe that atheists believe. We know you believe that an invisible being magicked men out of mud and that dead people go somewhere and are alive.

What counts as an expert in Christian theology? Absolutely everything they are experts on is based on the bible, the writings of primitive men trying to control other other primitive men and explain a scary world.

What about the majority expert opinion on Christianity?

Note, Just so you know that I mean what I say about listening to experts. I have seen all the NT course videos and all the OT course videos of Yale University online. I have a link to various university sites which updates me automatically on new university videos being released about subjects I am interested in. You might have seen me add some of the Yale videos on here.

Our ideas of absolute truth differ though.

ABSOLUTE TRUTH != DIFFERENCES IN OPINION

We can't have different "ideas" of absolute truth.  Either you're right or I'm right. (or neither of us.)  Not both.
I'm here every now and again.
