Greetings to all!
« on: December 06, 2013, 02:42:56 PM »
Hello Everyone

I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and thought it was time I threw a few of my ideas into the marketplace and see how they sold.

A little bit about me:
I'm a 27 year old transient male and my cheek-pads are just starting to come in.
I weigh about 300 lbs and have an arm span of just under 2 meters.
My favorite food is fresh fruit, figs especially.
The above facts are an orangutan joke, they are also true.

That's where the name comes from "Red Ape" + Athiest = RED_ApeTheist. Y'all can call me Red.

I'm an "in the closet" atheist. I was raised by a strictly christian mother and a pro-faith but very anti-organized religion father. Right now i'm looking forward to the day I can let my folks and family know about my real religious convictions... or lack of convictions really.

As it stands I'm looking to get involved with some atheist activism, and thought this would be a good way to talk to some folks and familiarize myself with some of the arguments I'm going to get from the god fearing types.

Lots of debates on here with some very knowledgeable folks.
I'm sure you can find all the argument ammo you need.
Enjoy your stay Red :)

The common thought is that such news breaks are best given while everyone is around the Thanksgiving dinner table, so it looks like you will have to wait another year.

Welcome, Red. Lots of good people here to engage with, including a handful of semi-regular theists. Be seeing you.

Hiya. Welcome to the forum.

I notice in your profile it said you're from NY, but not the city the part with the lakes. May I ask where? I'm outside of Buffalo myself.

Welcome to the forum.
The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.

I have to travel to Rochester every once in a while for work. I usually stop at the Dinosaur BBQ for lunch. My favorite place is BIll Grays. Amazing food.

Driving through down town Rochester can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

My first job was at a Bill Grays.  Those were some fun times. I don't think there is a type of food I didn't dump into one of those deep fryers at one time or another.

Hi Augustine, and welcome.

Don't you need, like, 3 or more comments to do that?
