Just what Syria needs.  :o

So why put up a giant statue of Christ in the midst of such setbacks and so much danger?

Because "Jesus would have done it," organizer Samir al-Ghadban quoted a Christian church leader as telling him.

A Possible Future Faux News bulletin:
Christians demanded the Obama administration attack Syria today after Muslims spray painted a newly erected statue of Jesus.  "See," said the christians, "Jesus said he did not come to bring peace, but a sword.  We must attack!"

Yeah, when Obama sought support for an attack the right said, "hold up" and the congress was not going to vote for it.  Now if what you said happens he will be blamed for not attacking.

Actually, they'll do both simultaneously. They'll tell him to attack, vote in Congress for him to attack and then right afterward be against the attack.
