the Exorcist
« on: October 31, 2013, 12:19:10 PM »
Rod Dreher is terrified of the movie, The Exorcist, because the thinks it's real.

what a rube.

This thread is about lab-grown dicks, not some mincy, old, British poof of an actor.

Let's get back on topic, please.

I've seen it once... a long time ago.  Enough time, that I really don't remember much of it, aside from that I didn't think it was especially scary.

I do recall thinking the makeup and effects were neat, though.
Being a Christian, I've made my decision. That decision offers no compromise; therefore, I'm closed to anything else.

That would make sense. "Dick" "Johnson"  ;)

Hehehe......
Actually it doesn't. One could conceivably be all-powerful but not exceptionally intelligent.

The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.
Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?

Saw it stoned in college. My roommate totally freaked out. I thought it was funny.
The whole point of science is that most of it is uncertain. That's why science is exciting--because we don't know. Science is all about things we don't understand. The public, of course, imagines science is just a set of facts. But it's not.  Freeman Dyson

The only movie I've seen stoned is Spawn.

Watch "Bad Taste" - green slop is clearly pretty yummy.
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.
Why is it so hard for believers to answer a direct question?

Nope.  I'm Screwtape.  You should read the comments.  A bunch a loonies.  Some guy thought it was ironic that I was making fun of the superstitious with a name like Screwtape.  But there are a bunch of people who lambaste Dreher for being such a rube.
