Creepy religious signs and sayings
« on: October 05, 2013, 12:00:58 PM »
I am in a local church most of the day today, waiting around while my son works on merit badges for Boy Scouts.

In the men's restroom, painted in calligraphy over the urinals is the following creepy phrase, "You may not see God's hands, but that does not mean they aren't there."  WTF???
If xian hell really exists, the stench of the burning billions of us should be a constant, putrid reminder to the handful of heavenward xians how loving their god is.  - neopagan

I love how that wouldn't even necessarily be a creepy saying, in another context.  In this one...   :o
I always say what I mean. But sometimes I'm a sarcastic prick whose tone can't be properly communicated via text.

Which, of course, makes it creepier when people say they can feel god's presence.

Gotta hand it to them...

What I lack in sophistication I make up for with other shortcomings.

So are they saying god's hands are on your junk?  I wonder what is on the stalls in the ladies room...   :o
It doesn't make sense to let go of something you've had for so long.  But it also doesn't make sense to hold on when there's actually nothing there.

There is so much sexual connotation in that saying. God's invisible hands are on my penis and I don't know when he's doing it and thereby can't to enjoy it, DAMN....

god ruins everything.
What's true is already so. Owning up to it does not make it worse.
