10,000 post
« on: October 04, 2013, 10:42:35 PM »
I am one post away from the magic 10,000 number.  It is only fitting that I wonder in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights pondering the meaning of it all.  Once I have found knowledge I will return with the answer.  Be safe my children. ( I sure hope it is not hot in the desert and I can still pick up NFL Sunday games).
Yo, put that in your pipe and smoke it.  Quit ragging on my Lord.

It better not be 42.

Be careful, Nick. I'm serious.

Some people are convinced that the forum administrators are sacrificing the top posters in a secret WWGHA backroom. Not me of course. I'm not some people. But some people want you to look at the evidence. What happened to hermes? 10,000 posts then vanished without a trace. He was known to enjoy cups of morning joe in the darker areas of the forum. The administrators even deleted posts thinking they could avoid suspicion. 9,888 posts? Ha! What happened to velkyn? 15,000+ posts then she just up and leaves? An unlikely fabricated story was woven. And why hasn't anything unfortunate happened to screwtape and Azdgari, the two men with keys to the backroom? Is jetson covering for them? The mods certainly haven't denied any of this.

Some people would suggest you look at this evidence and you be the judge. I'm, of course, not some people though.

Nick, Remember when you were gone for a while during a hurricane in Missouri? People were concerned about you because of no posts. Don't ever leave.

Nick is tough enough to stick around after 10K posts. I'm more worried about him deciding he likes the quiet, out there in the desert...

Nick

Deserts have bugs and snakes. Try 40 days and nights of desserts instead.

In binary, you just did post 10011100001111, which doesn't look like a milestone at all. I'd hang around at least until binary post 100000000000000, which would be post 16, 384 using our draconian method of counting. That looks much more impressive.

And if you gotta go, and do that 40 days/40 nights thing, it is cheating if you have a Netflix account. Ya gotta rough it if it to do you any good. Basic cable only, and no, I repeat, no Cheetos!

If I tell a funny joke, will you stick around? Hoping that you will, here goes:

A guy leaves his laptop on the floor.
His grandmother comes into the room and thinks it is a bathroom scale.
So that's how he found out that she weighs exactly 950 dollars!

You won't top that in a mere 40 days.

Unless you have a Netflix account.

WTF,  you really are gonna wait for 40 days and 40 nights before making your magical 10,000th post....

You're not Jesus dude, you must be in some pretty bad withdrawal by now. After 40 days/nights you will be recovered and no longer need us.

We will miss you.........

^^^ I can help you make an epic post, Nick. Just have me make a list of things to say that I think would be epic, and make sure you don't use any of them.

Looking at my own profile, I see that I've averaged 0.363 posts per day. From that I can project that my 10,000th post will occur sometime around July of 2085, making it highly unlikely that said post will occur at all (I'd be 121 years old, and the forum would be somewhere around 78). I guess I don't need to worry about being sacrificed in the back room.

Just think of how many more you could have if you went back and added links (not by editing but by an additional post).
