Introduction by Angus and Alexis.
« on: September 24, 2013, 03:17:37 AM »
Now that i can make a new topic (Thank god *pun* that 3 posts is easy.).

My name is Angus Carr.
I am an atheist, and have a tulpa named Alexis.

I enjoy debating religious stuff, and hate stupid theist arguments.
Rule 1: No pooftas. Rule 2: No maltreating the theists, IF, anyone is watching. Rule 3: No pooftas. Rule 4: I do not want to see anyone NOT drinking after light out. Rule 5: No pooftas. Rule 6: There is NO...rule 6.

greetings to you both - hope you enjoy your time here.

Is your tulpa an atheist as well?

Welcome to the forum.
The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.
Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?

Surprisingly enough, tulpae are a result of rewiring your brain... not magic.

greetings to you both - hope you enjoy your time here.

Is your tulpa an atheist as well?

Yes actually, i could only imagine how irritating a theist tulpa would be...

Hello and welcome

I might make an offtopic thread...

I think a Tulpa is a flower. ;)

I think you mean "tulip", tulpae are *sic* sentient companions made via thought.

That being said, i often use tulpae as a gimmick, as i know there are a large number of people who dislike them, mostly theists.
Alexis is female if you were wondering, looks like my avatar (yes, a pony.).

I share the inside of my skull with a hairy Armenian wrestler who has a fondness for wodka, cabbages and pet rats and who suffered mental retardation due to radiation when his dad had to rush to the Chernobyl reactor, not knowing how bad things were and took him along since he couldn't find a sitter.

Though I don't know if Gurgen qualifies as a Tulpa.

Please do make that topic, want to learn more.

Umm...okay then?...

I'm not sure if that is a tulpa...if it is sentient and such, then i guess it is?...

Interesting how even Buddhist tradition acknowledges that tulpae are imaginary.

So, basically, a tulpa is a meme that is aware of it's own existance. Now, I was of course half joking wrt Gurgen.[1] I made Gurgen up, I sometimes get into his head when stuck on a scene or something, but Gurgen is not self aware.
On the other hand ... *I* am a meme in a sense and I'm self aware.
... So, where's the line? IS there a line? Or is it all one great big blur?
 1. btw, that avater, over there on the left, that's Gurgen ... He only looks like Hagrid, they get that a lot. Robbie Coletrane is SO sick of people coming up to him and addressing him in Armenian
