So basically, you, like me, think that the Bible is just a bunch of homespun philosophy devised by ignorant, superstitious, goatherders desperate to justify all their actions with a clear conscience, no matter how stupid or wrong? Good, we begin to agree.
You agree that you pick and choose what you want to believe from the Bible?
You agree that you pick and choose according to your conscience?
All that is left is that you believe what you said yourself: What people who believe in God (or any god) actually believe is their own conscience. A conscience given to them in their formative years by their parents and society. Your conscience is not separate from you - it is a working part of your brain that you can, to a degree, control. Your conscience changes throughout life.
We have a perfectly good word for conscience... it is "conscience"... why call it "god"?
Once you believe what you yourself have written, i.e. that any god is simply another word for the natural conscience, you will see that there is no need to believe in a mysterious, invisible god; you can say, "This is what I think is right. There are no gods and never have been."
