It's hilarious. It's like getting an imaginary get-out-of-jail-free card to an imaginary jail

Quote
Mindful of the faithful who cannot afford to fly to Brazil, the Vatican's sacred apostolic penitentiary, a court which handles the forgiveness of sins, has also extended the privilege to those following the "rites and pious exercises" of the event on television, radio and through social media.

Follow Francis' tweets and get time off purgatory! Saving your soul has never been easier! Like Francis on Facebook and double your chances!

This is imagination at its finest. From what I heard though, god is still trying to figure out where to put the AOL CD in his 1994 Compaq 286, and I'm pretty sure it will be awhile before he figures out email, let alone Twitter and/or Facebook.

Sadly, there exist people who believe this stuff. On the bright side, while they're waiting for their porn movies to load, they'll have something to do on Twitter.

If there were a god to thank for not being one of his followers, I'd do it.
Not everyone is entitled to their opinion. They're all entitled to mine though.

If xian hell really exists, the stench of the burning billions of us should be a constant, putrid reminder to the handful of heavenward xians how loving your god is.  - neopagan
