One Small Click for Man...
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:48:56 PM »

It with great irony and somewhat nostalgic sadness I'm posting this from a mobile device. I'm turning 35 in a couple months and I've spent more than half my life using his invention; I still make great living using it today.  It's too bad people/names like this aren't more common, everyday known names verses movies stars and tv reality nonsense...

Thanks for the education, DVZ3.

I find it just as sad that more people don't know of Harriet Tubman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harriet_Tubman), Norman Borlaug (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Borlaug) or Stanislav Petrov (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislav_Petrov). Far too many unrecognized giants uphold the world we enjoy.

And don't forget John Crapper.

Yea, I find it tragic that names like Jonas Salk and Norman Borlaug go almost completely unremembered but Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are known world wide. I weep for the human trajectory. I bet more people on the planet could name all of the Teletubbies before they could tell you what either of the two men above contributed to humanity. We should have monuments in parks and entire curricula on men and women of this caliber. At best they are a bullet point on a college mid-term.  >:(

Let's not forget Papa Smurf. The wisest of them all.

This thread is about lab-grown dicks, not some mincy, old, British poof of an actor.

Let's get back on topic, please.
