Mock 2016 US Presidential Election
« on: June 18, 2013, 12:53:54 AM »
Results will be shown in 30 days. I did leave some Democrat contenders out mainly because after 8 years[1], I think Republicans will become center stage.

Not who you think would win but who you'd vote for from the choices given.  Of course this poll is most likely unrealistic but, whatever.

I'll reserve my vote for a little while.

If not American, feel free to vote; it effects you too.

I put this poll because it's already has started on the Republican side: a website against Hillary Clinton; doesn't say anything just asks for money and personal information, even the website that's sponsoring this one doesn't say anything but they only want your e-mail address:

https://www.stophillary2016.org/

It hasn't even been a year in Obama's second term and they're already started.

The female senator from Missouri has already endorsed her.  So it must be on.  Yard signs to follow.

If we are voting for someone to be put to a slow and painful death I would pick Bachman.

It doesn't make sense to let go of something you've had for so long.  But it also doesn't make sense to hold on when there's actually nothing there.

Good old GOP values.  The party of the 1950s strikes again.  I saw where one GOP congressman, a doctor no less, from Texas thinks babies in the womb can masterbate.  How the f*** has this party survived this long?

If I were a true Republican, I would need some senility data, so I can vote for the most senile.

I know about that but I don't count it because McCaskill is just doing it to save her political career; she isn't really doing it because she want Hillary as president.

If you look at her record with Hillary, it seems to me, she doesn't even like her. So, it's all selfish on her part.

Well, they used to be sane until the progressive Republicans were basically pushed out by the 1970s (except for a few) and the conservative Democrats switched party lines heavily in the 1980s through early 2000s.

If it's Hillary Clinton vs. Chris Christie I think it'd be very close race unless like all Republican nominees Christie would capitulate to the base, then I think Clinton would win.

Christie will have to act like a fringe lunatic, but still won't survive the primaries.  He hugged the Kenyan.  He took the Kenyan's FEMA money.  He betrayed our rightful mormon overlord right before the election.

He may win in some places like, Vermont or Maine or New Hampshire, but he will uniformly be clobbered in the south.  And, he's catholic.  The south also hates them some catholics.

Which is fine.  He's not as awesome sauce as the national press makes him out to be.  The only reason he's successful here is:

1. he's a crass big mouth.  Jersey loves crass, big mouthed fatsos.  Mainly because Jersey is full of them.  The south loves fat louts too, but not the kind with NY-ish accents.

2. the NJ democrats have a very rigid hierarchy, a political machine, in which every dem in the state has to stay in line or be exiled from politics.  So Christie does not have to wrangle with a senate and congress.  He only has to wrangle with one or two top Dems and they get the rest of the party to line up.  If Christie has any actual skills in that regard, he's not had to use them.

2a. because of the rigid hierarchy, NJ democrats do not breed competent political leaders.  They promote supporters, who do not campaign very well in the big elections. This is why Christie is projected to win by about 20 points in a fairly blue state.

No matter how many conservative (or Kenyan) rings he kissed, Christie would have no chance in the "south" and even here in Oklahoma, the reddest of the red states, he'd lose against "a republican to be named later"

I'm with screw - no more clintons or bushes... ever.  I'd take a kardashian over another one of those  :P

Seems he already is. Sad. I have to stop with my hopes that some moderate Republicans won't capitulate to the far-right.
