Hello Forum Members.
« on: June 15, 2013, 08:58:25 PM »
Well here I am. A sheep amongst the wolves.   :P     That's a joke but I have a gut feeling that some of you will think that is accurate. In my experience though,  a lot of people people are just sheep in wolves clothing.  I have met enough of those.

I am a theist, but I do often question why.  Sometimes I have periods of doubt about the existence of the Divine. In the end however, I  always end up remaining a believer.  Technically I am more spiritual than religious yet I understand that spirituality has no precise definition.  For me, spirituality is defined as such  :The personal subjective experiences that causes one to have an increased and more certain belief in the existence of an all powerful divine entity that most people call God.  The One designer of everything we scientifically know, don't know, and may find out about.

I understand that most members here do not share my belief and that is fine. I am not here to preach, or convert, or to manipulate anybody into believing in the God that I believe in.  However, if anybody finds some personal enlightenment in anything I may post, or realizes that they too have had similar experiences as I have,  it will be their choice to dismiss that or not.  I will not push them. I will only suggest that they explore that experience.

I am looking forward to reading, and participating in discussions here on this forum.  If you all keep it relatively civil I will discuss things with you.  However you must know this. I will NOT engage in a discussion with disrespectful individuals.

Peace.   I am looking forward to learning more about all of your opinions.

Hello, WakingDeath, welcome to WWGHA.  I hope you find your stay here an informative and enjoyable one.

A quick word of advice, if I may: as a believer, you're in the minority here, as you already know.  You may therefore sometimes find yourself having too many replies to your posts to keep up with.  Should that happen, please don't hesitate to speak up and say you need to take some time to "catch your breath".  Believers are rare here, and I've seen far too many of them leave because of this problem.  (Which is a shame, because we really want them to stay.)

Looking forward to seeing your future posts.

Maybe we can even find a cure for that theist problem you have. ;)   Oh, and welcome.  Walking Death reminds me of the morning after frat parties.

Hello and welcome.  I am a theist with many doubts.  I generally avoid religious discussions if at all possible and stick to chatter and non-religious matters.  The basic thing I've noticed in debates here is if it won't stand up in court it won't stand up here.  Don't bother quoting the bible or referring to faith because here they are not considered as valid evidence.  You will learn soon enough who is respectful and who isn't.  Most of the forum members are enjoyable to interact with.  There are many wise and many caring people here.

You should - its good.  And only 2 seasons in, so it possible to catch up!
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

Hei, Alex!  Welcome.

I took a quick look at one of the comment threads on the WWGHA blog.  How do you manage to keep your sanity there with people like that "Messenger" guy around?

I took a look at it. All I saw was what looked like a bunch of articles.

Also, is there a reason I can't post in The Shelter?   It won't let me start a topic.
