I don't think they know the meaning of the word "persecuted".

Well, it is a word with more than 4 letters and several syllables.

Yeah, nothing like starting off the video with falsehoods.
You can pray in school. You can write about God in school papers. You can talk about your own faith in school, during a lesson would probably not be appropriate, but neither is anything else than the lesson. God in history books? What are you talking about? Creationism is NOT a scientific theory, its only a hypothesis, and is not backed up by ANY evidence, thats why it isn't taught in your science class.  You are called names because they are accurate.

Oh, shocking.  Ratings and comments disables on youtube.

Way to show your patriotism kids, by dumping the American flag on the ground and melting ice all over it so it gets nice and muddy.  Gonna burn one next?  Then they topple the cross at the end, lol.

Also, that girl complaining about being called a lesbian because she thinks "saving herself for marriage" means never kissing anybody?  When I was her age, that meant not having sex until marriage.  So her very first kiss is supposed to happen after the preacher says "You may kiss the bride?"  Really?  What's next, Christian burkas?

Check this out:

Sad to see so many young kids brainwashed.

We can solve bullying in schools by inculcating bullying with religion instead?

Just give up.

Hooray!

See the token black kid. Either he was adopted by white people or he's a paid actor. No Latino/Hispanics or asians. One black kid.

Very sad and profoundly disturbing.  These poor kids are advocating for systems to promote their own ignorance.

In other news, one mom from Michigan is concerned about the pornographic material her 7th grader is being asked to read in public school.  What is this porn, you ask?

The Diary of Anne Frank.

Are you waiting to hear the content that upsets the mom?  I know you are.  Is it about sexual fantasies?  Is it about sexual activities?  No.  It is the ponderings of a teenage girl about her own anatomy, and reflections on previous misunderstandings.

This is the passage in question:

Until I was eleven or twelve, I didn't realize there was a second set of labia on the inside, since you couldn't see them. What's even funnier is that I thought urine came out of the clitoris…When you're standing up, all you see from the front is hair. Between your legs there are two soft, cushiony things, also covered with hair, which press together when you're standing, so you can't see what's inside. They separate when you sit down and they're very red and quite fleshy on the inside. In the upper part, between the outer labia, there's a fold of skin that, on second thought, looks like a kind of blister. That's the clitoris."

The mother thinks that parents, not the school, (and certainly not books read in school) should be introducing such sensitive topics to our kids.  I mean, there might be teenaged girls out there who had not previously thought about their anatomy and the parts of their body that they can't view without a hand mirror.  And after reading this, they might even grab a mirror and take a look!

What would god think of that?????

I was expecting one of the kids to say, "Why don't all the others know the answers to these questions?" Why are all these kids unaware of he US Constitution?

Or someone should just slap her in the face and say "Sweetcheeks, you are doing something different than the norm. Kids make fun of what's different from them. This isn't organized oppression, this is tribe psychology by people young enough to have their psyches dominated by it. If you were really tall, fat, or actually a lesbian it would probably be worse."

I don't think they know the meaning of the word "persecuted".

Hrrrm there are documented cases of people actually being killed for being gay in high school. Definitely several cases of beatings. We have the one open atheist girl who had to go to the court to end the institution discrimintation she faced.

Can any of you kids come up with ONE case of anti-christian activities at this level?

Brilliant.

I'd really like to see "The Thaw" video without the overly dramatic music.  Without that injected component, it would be even more laughable.

My favorite "Its our country, how dare these uppity infidels act if they are our equals. Don't they know their rightful place is under our boot heel?"

Really an excellent summation of the attitudes evidenced in The Thaw

I would contend atheists are a far more persecuted bunch than these self entitled half wit xian children.

How many of them are in the closet because of their belief system?
If xian hell really exists, the stench of the burning billions of us should be a constant, putrid reminder to the handful of heavenward xians how loving your god is.  - neopagan
