Interestingly, I remember reading somewhere that if you masturbate 5 times a week you're less likely to get prostate cancer. I suspect over-masturbating causes health risks, but like everything else, it's about moderation.
However, I wonder which one is based on facts and the one based on a religious bias?
I wonder where they're pulling the one out about higher rates of depression. I suspect there's a possibility there's some level of correlation, I mean, you might be a single person unable to find love who masturbates because they can find no love, but that depression would be more linked to being single than to knocking one off
[1]. I think it's healthier (in the mental way) for a person to have a relationship with a person, rather than their hand, but the act itself is not harmful.
I get it, it's a sin in the eyes of Christianity, but why can't they just be honest and accept that? Why does there have to be a distortion of the facts to try an accommodate their world views? It's a remarkably dishonest way of doing things, kinda ironic for a religion that considers lying a sin.
