Hello, I'm Jason

I was brought up in CoE tradition, baptised, confirmed, sunday school and church choir.
I am an atheist but I've always liked religions mainly because I like history and they form an integral part of understanding cultures.
I'm enjoying this site and the discussions on it, I don't really have a huge amount to contribute but it's good to see other peoples opinions.

Welcome Jason.  I'm also very interested in culture and history (and politics) as well as questions related to ethics.  I'm sure you will have quite a bit to contribute.

cool, I like a bit of Rome Total War (TM) I like all historical stratergy stuff though

Just doing the www.edx.org Greek hero's course atm - free online tutorials from harvard just for history buffs..

Love that family tree thingy they have and how traits are hereditary (well, from dad to son anyway)[1]

yeah it is quality, all my family members tend to end up with the suffix "the mad" or "the lewd" not sure what that says about me  :o

R:TW 2 is out soon. I think they're bringing the naval battles over from Empire
