Once again God is trying to say something...wish he would try twitter.

JUst wanted to say it was nice knowing everyone.  The end is coming to my area tonight and into Thurs.  We are suppose to get a zillion inches of snow, ice, and sleet.  People are going nuts trying to buy food and ice melt.  I even saw dogs and cats getting it on for one last fling.

No, you just don't get it, do you? Ice and snow in the winter (in regions that always get ice and snow in the winter) is solid proof that there is no such thing as global warming. &)

God is bizarre, and no mistake.  On the one hand, Wayne tells us he is the master of the subtle, steering things with precision and care to make things work the way he wants.  Then he turns round and dumps vast lumps of snow over a huge area in an attempt to make Nick's heating bill go up a bit.....

Hey Nick, hope you got through the snow storm all right - not entirely altruistic either, it's headed up this way next!

My local NPR station was talking about thunder-snow in the midwest last night associated with this storm. Did you happen to notice any?

What the hell is thunder-snow? If it doesn't involve Thor in a tight ski outfit, I want no part of it. :P

Thunder snow is when you get lightning and thunder and snow at the same time.  You can get 3, 4, or 5 inches an hour and it is heavy and wet.  They had a lot of this around Kansas City and East but not North up my way.  We only ended up with 8 inches.  So I guess it was not the end of the world.

While I'm pleased that you didn't suffer a biblical-proportion blow from the skies, I'm a bit disappointed that the thunder doesn't seem to be coming this way. We're expecting at least 5 inches by morning - at that point where we live, well past the outer ring suburbs, it may as well be three feet. My BF will take the four-wheel drive to work, and I'll do homework in the man cave by the fireplace - we've known this was coming for days now.

Thunder snow is rare enough to be cool, but I like NGFM's idea too...
