The devil made me do it..really.

Scientists have discovered an area of the brain where "evil" comes from.  If valid, then we could be born to be bad or get that way from some kind of chemical imbalance in the brain along the way.  So are you responsible for your actions then?  Could present an interesting court case.  Also opens up the religion thing.  Is Satan evil or that way because of his brain?  Is a loving God going to punish some of us for being born the way He made us to be?  Can "evil" be cured by science?

Thanks for the links, shnozz. It's definitely interesting, though it seems the initial story was- surprise, surprise- taken rather out of context for the sake of getting people's attention. At least LiveScience clarified that in their followup article.

Aren't most psychopathic narcissists pretty much born bad? Some children start torturing animals at a very VERY young age, then move on to pyromania, then perhaps later, but not always, may become a serial killer. I don't at all think this is a problem with demons or the Devil of course, but I do believe people can be "born bad".
