Curious about seahorses?
« on: January 18, 2013, 03:34:17 PM »
I could almost put this in science, but it is too frickin' cute. I haven't had a chance to look at the fellows other videos yet but I suspect they are just as entertaining.

Makes you wonder how they have made it on the evolutionary scale.  Are there any unicorn seahorses?
Yo, put that in your pipe and smoke it.  Quit ragging on my Lord.

Like this man's style. :) I love seahorses, and have seen several on dive trips.
If we ever travel thousands of light years to a planet inhabited by intelligent life, let's just make patterns in their crops and leave.

I edit a lot of my posts. The reason being it to add content or to correct grammar/wording. All edits to remove wording get a strike through through the wording.

Dried tangerine peel - ¼ piece
Salt to taste

Method
Rinse and clean all ingredients, soak dried tangerine peel until tender and remove pith.

Seahorses are the only fish that can tell the time:

You are so modest, Graybeard. Most Brits look for any excuse to brag about their mobile phones:

Even seahorses are jealous of them:

I made my own hanging, 6+foot (2m) wire welded seahorse    it throws wonderful  seahorse line drawings shadows   I have not witnessed it give or receive the ovipositor (it is no business of mine) so I am not sure of which sex it is.

Dried Seahorse Soup Recipe

Excellent recipe. Much better than making a sandwich from them, which takes waaaaayyy too many.

That's magnificent!

thanks GB  and kaziglu

I have always loved seahorses, and am not alone in that.
I did a series of smallish paintings (oils) of closeups of them, and they sold instantly.
Unfortunately I am and always have been an extremely inconsistent and careless  recorder of my artwork, and up until a few years ago a gypsy to boot, so that seahorse art is out there somewhere,   but lost to me.

Here's an emergency commission (mates rates)
M&A  a day before their first openhouse (realestate sale)flew me interstate to fill a glaringly empty huge feature wallspace.
Fuckers got me there, got me stoned and speeding (don't do drugs) presented me with a workspace, a 4.5m width of canvas and a massive pastel set.
M had a 20cm dried seahorse carcass (the red one) and the yellow, I drew from memory of the wireweld sculpture.

I worked about 20hours non-stop manic and hung the three panels just before the first of the prospective buyers showed up.

Please pardon the terrible resolution and dimness (the careless recording again) I've p'shopped tweaked for clarity alone (so you can imagine how terrible the original shots are), but I hope this gives some indication of the finished product.

Very impressive, kin hell. Sadly, Graybeard will want to eat them. But don't get discouraged. Next time draw actual food.He won't know what to do with it.

Gotta give you a +1 for your artwork, It makes me feel like SpongeBob ParkingPlaces.

 1. I have never eaten a Seahorse.
