Wow, that is really amazing. It's amazing the way they can use 3D imaging to just "print" an exoskeleton and it's replacement parts. Yay science! Is there a blueprint for an exoskeleton in the Bible? No? Just asking.

This is cool too. They have developed a machine that will allow you to recycle your own plastic bottles for printing. When that comes on the market, the cost of 3D printing will drop close to zero. I assume that such recycled plastics have limited uses, strength-wise, and may not be useful for structural components such as the exoskeleton, but still, the whole thing is getting more and more amazing.

I currently theorize that in ten or fifteen years it will be very common for a person to either buy something that is highly customized via 3D printing (as opposed to buying something mass produced) or print a large percentage of desired products on their own machine. Unless we can print body parts and stuff, I'll probably not live that long, but I hope the rest of you do.

It may not be useful for stuff that requires durability and tensile strength, but I'm sure there are plenty of things that a person could make with recycled plastic even considering that.
