My impression of Hitch was that he was so well versed in foreign affairs, politics, and the insidious entanglement of religion and religious leaders around the world. He seemed to be able to recall so much detail from memory, and was so quick-witted. He must have spent years honing his approach, and had long heard the many apologist arguments that are so easily refuted or debunked.
It was great meeting both he and Richard Dawkins in person at the book signing, sitting side-by-side.
