Favorite Christmastime Songs!
« on: December 22, 2012, 10:43:26 AM »
A couple of years ago, a friend introduced me to what has become one of my all time favorite holiday songs.  If you don't know this one, please take the time to listen:

Nothing says Christmas like John Lennon

and of course, this one:

And for some reason, I just really like this one.  My grandma always had a bit of a crush on Bing Crosby.  And I've always had a bit of a crush on David Bowie.  Even though this has to be one of the silliest songs of the season.

What are some of your favorites?

Anything by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. If anyone has a chance to see them, GO! They're amazing.

I love these three song

I love Jennifer Cella's voice.

The last is my favorite.
"Great moments are born from great opportunities." Herb Brooks

I edit a lot of my posts. The reason being it to add content or to correct grammar/wording. All edits to remove wording get a strike through through the wording.

It takes Kevin Wilson to capture the spirit of Christmas - Aussie have a way with words (NSFW)

Nobody says “There are many things that we thought were natural processes, but now know that a god did them.”

I don't have links to videos, but my favorite xmas songs are, strangely, the most religious ones.  I like the melodies.

angels we have heard on high
god rest ye merry gentleman
hark! the herald angels sing
it came upon a midnight clear
o come all ye faithful
the first noel

apart from those:
the entire benoit/ charlie brown xmas sound track
santa baby - only the versions by ertha kitt or madonna.  the taylor swift version sucks donkey balls

What's true is already so. Owning up to it does not make it worse.
