Truly disgusting. Assuming most of the jury in this trial was made up of Christians who believe in the Bible it is curious as to why he was not declared innocent since he was following the word of God.

He beat a five month old baby?  As discipline? 

What did this five month old baby do that deserved discipline?  What?  Cried?   Pooped?  Spit up? 

The "spare the rod, spoil the child" set pisses me off to begin with.  But seriously.  As I often say, I wish there were a hell for this man to rot in.

Somebody needs to ass fuck him in prison, and when he cries about it we can point to the inanity of the Bible as an excuse.

As I understand it, child molesters and murderers are usually loathed by other felons. Unless this guy is sequestered from other inmates, he's likely headed for as close an approximation of hell that the universe can provide.

Well supposedly, all human beings are awful, evil creatures who deserve eternal torture.  Merely being beaten to death is pretty minor in the scheme of things, from that perspective.

This is actually quite interesting.[1] He claims to have been following the bible, and yet was found guilty of a crime. Christians point at the bible and demand there be payer in public schools, and this is granted. While I understand it's not really any comparison, I do feel the need to ask just where does the line sit, between common sense and biblical lunacy?

Also, I can't see the story with the link supplied. Could someone possibly do a cut-and-paste for me?

On second thoughts, no need. I don't wanna read something so abhorrent. Stories like these truly make me feel physically ill...

There's a recent post somewhere that mentions a republican who seriously suggests being able to kill your errant child. He justifies it as a threat that the child will recognise and thus will keep to the straight and narrow.

He should be sent the link.
