Earth-size planet discovered in Alpha Centauri system

This is a huge deal because it's about the size of our own planet, and it's also in orbit around the star closest to our own.  There are a lot of implications with this.  The planet is not in the Goldilocks Zone, which would be a really huge deal, but even so, this is still a very significant find.

Charcoal briquets, perhaps.  The planet's year is just over three days long.

I really wish we could find a planet that could potentially support life.

It's probably too hot even for briquets.  The planet's surface temp is speculated to be around 1200 degrees Centigrade.  The surface is probably lava.

It might, at that.  Though 600 light years is just a bit far to send probes, let alone any kind of manned expedition.
