I posted this (hand typed it on a phone) at ATT.
For one the Spanish Inquisition, and the Salem witch trials didn't happen thousands of years ago. They are more recent, like up to 300 years ago (or more). So, that's inaccurate.
Second, the person in this implies that the atheists in those 2 groups (or atheists in general) aren't American.
Three, he states that they were committing "illegal activity" by challenging such issues in court (and, as others have pointed out: theists have made the most challenges to such things, and not atheists), which is a right given to us by the Constitution/Bill of Rights.
Four, he admits religion has caused a lot of damage "thousands of years ago" but, either is ignorant of the damages it has caused the past 200 years, or is ignoring such things. Even today, somewhere in the world religion is causing disruption and negativity.
Five, he speaks about "religion" but he's actually talking about Christianity, because everything he mentions in concern to "religion" is about Christian issues. Such as taking certain things out of government and schools, and the horrors from "thousands of years ago".
There's a lot wrong with what he's saying.
