Dreams of My Real Father, anyone?
« on: September 27, 2012, 10:09:52 PM »
So I got a DVD in the mail the other day, Dreams Of My Real Father.  A "documentary" describing something like "a possible interpretation of what may have drivin our 44th president to maybe do some of the things he might be doing" (this is an exaggeration of what was written on the sleeve--but not exaggerating by much).  It ended up in the trash, because it appeared to be pure speculation.  But I'm still curious . . .

I've looked online for info on it, but haven't found much.  Anyone actually watch this thing, and do their homework on it?  I'm curious as to how much is spun from whole cloth, how much is reasonable conjecture, hwo much is actual verifiable fact, that sort of thing.

Sounds somewhat similar to Dinesh D'Suaza's book, "Roots of Obama's Rage." It's fiiled with lots of anti-colonialism claim.

I'm guessing you had to be on some kind of a mailing list to get one.  NOthing gavea hint of where it came from?  In that case the Koch Bros/Karl Rove come to mind.  They have lots of tricks yet to pull.  They stil think this is in the bag.  Thor, I hope they are wrong.  Keep it...it may be a collectors item 50 years from now.
Yo, put that in your pipe and smoke it.  Quit ragging on my Lord.

I live in NH, a battleground state, that's why I got it.  And I ain't digging through my trash for that!!

you can find some info on it if you google it, just nothing about refuting any of the claims/conjectures it makes.

Maybe because people don't bother refuting David Icke either.

Joel Gilbert's prior "documentaries" include "Paul McCartney really is dead" and "Elvis found alive".  They were mockumentaries.  Perhaps this was too?

They've been pushing this swill at the birther/loon site World Net Daily for a while now. It's real crackpot stuff - apparently Obama's teenaged mom was a sex-crazed whore who made fetish porn in the 50s, and got herself impregnated by a black communist, Frank Marshall Davis. (She then married Obama Sr.  as a cover-up.) Barack Jr. is now carrying out the Communist master plan of his real dad, Davis...

The funny thing is, this conspiracy theory completely contradicts the main birther conspiracy theory that WND has been pushing for years. It has Obama being born in Hawaii to an American dad, which would remove any doubt about his citizenship. But somehow this doesn't faze the birthers...
