HAL's Photo Blog - On request
« on: September 22, 2012, 08:30:03 PM »
I finally got a new digital camera to replace my ancient one. I got a Canon A4000IS.

To help me learn it I will accept requests for pictures from my kingdom. You can request any picture you want except for personally identifying information.

You might request, for example:

Backyard
Garage
Cat litter box
Refrigerator
Toilet
Sock drawer
A kitchen cabinet
Tools
Computer
and so on ... pretty much anything ...

Just request the pic and I'll take it and post it.

Here's the first one - it's where I keep my TV watching equipment and accessories (such as you can see).

Since it's late, starting tomorrow I'll accept the first 5 requests, so as not to be overwhelmed.  :)

A closeup of a flower or leaf in your yard.

A picture of your sexy face?

I'd also like to know what computer rig you are using.

Perhaps a pic of the underwear drawer. Do you wear boxers of briefs?

I edit a lot of my posts. The reason being it to add content or to correct grammar/wording. All edits to remove wording get a strike through through the wording.

A plant seen via TWO reflective surfaces.
For example mirrored sunglasses and a window.

You're probably already familiar with this, but just in case you wanted a primer, here is a cool site about the rule of thirds vs golden ratio.

A photo of jesus christ pushing a sweet little old lady into a fiery pit to burn forever.

If that's too hard, how about a burning Koran covered in crude oil.

If that's too scary, then how about a picture of your hand holding some one else's hand.

I'd be worthwhile having a look at the section on "EV" (basically the sensitivity of the camera to light) this is the same shot with +2 EV

Note background.

Yeah, I'm useful when it comes to Photography. But don't ask me to overexpose myself. That's against the terms of this forum.

Anyway, my photo request is a cheesy sunset shot but with a saucepan vaguely visible in the foreground.

Here's a few to start. It will only allow me 4 attachments at a time so I'll be making another post later. Some of the pics are not the best yet because I'm experimenting with low light settings without flash.

The cats are cats.
The computer is a clone I built with an AMD Phenom 6 core proc.

It's remarkable how much the first cat's facial expression reminds me of HAL's facial expressions in shots I've seen of him.

Which way did it go, did you influence your cat, or did it influence you?
You believe evolution and there is no evidence for that. Where is the fossil record of a half man half ape. I've only ever heard about it in reading.

Hmmm. I don't know - I think we both feed off each other.

The gray cat will play attack games every so often and get me out of a corner. The Siamese is a daddy's baby - sweet and innocent.
