When was the last time you had fun?

Serious question. When was the last time, what were you doing?

Playing Killing Floor with my friends on skype, mostly intoxicated. Good times.

This past weekend.  Moving-away-from-town party after leaving my university.  Turns out a lot of female friends of mine were going to miss me, so...

Sure as hell not today!

But Sunday was a great day.  Went to Victoria Gardens in Central Park, which is a very sweet amusement park that they put on top of the ice skating rink in the summer.  Brought my daughter (of course) and a 5 year old friend or hers, and his dad, who I like a lot.

It was the first time all summer that I did summer in NYC things because I've had a broken foot all summer.  And it was fun.  Afterwards, the kids climbed on the rocks and the dad and I got some grown up down time, which is precious to me these days.

Oh.  And yesterday when I picked my daughter up, she showed me she can climb across the monkey bars by herself now, which she couldn't do a few weeks ago.  Not really "fun" but it was a moment of joy gushing through me.

Taking my daughter and a friend to see "Finding Nemo" in 3D on Friday.  And I actually enjoy that stuff.  The other girl's mom is thrilled, because I think she would rather slit her wrists than sit through Nemo.  But I'm looking forward to it.

Mommyhood is great.  It is my fun now.  I became a mom much later in life than most, and I've done the clubs and the sleeping in hammocks on exotic beaches and all the crazy stuff.  For now, amusement parks and Nemo are fun for me.

1973 October, blond, hashish.  Ahhhh.

  -   Actually, yesterday running a few miles with my wife.
The day before – eating a huge peach, then checking my prizewinner var. pumpkins in the garden.

As a full fledged simpleton, I have fun drinking a magic hat beer on the patio and guessing where the planes overhead are going.
Last month at the shore, we walked a few miles along, in, and out of the surf, at 7 in the morning,  then had great coffee.

Sure – base camp at Everest in on the list, or Disney World again, or being buried in the volcanic sand in Japan, or a skiing trip in Switzerland, etc, etc, but for now seeing how fast I can create a nether portal in minecraft will have to do.

Several hours ago -- One of the community bands I play in has started up after summer break, so we were reading through some new tunes in preparation for this year's concerts.

It seemed like Night of the Living Medley (5 compilations, for a total of 27 songs!) but the highlight was either when about half of us yelled out an unscripted "Tequila!" in the song of the same name, or the drum solo in "Wipeout."  (Especially on the second 'take,' when the Director made us play it faster...)

Last night, on FIFA 9, I had to go into the first leg of the quarter final of the Belgian cup with 6 players, including both strikers, unavailable. And kicked their[1] arse 8-1 ... might be time to go up a difficulty level

Last night, in Pirates of the Burning Sea - grouped with another pirate in my Society and did some co-op missions.  Then when that was done, played my new goard game Zombicide with the family.  Tonight I will play it again with my gaming group, and I fully expect to be having fun for 4-5 hours tonight while we do it.
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

 :o

I try to have fun every single day, many times more than once!

My motto is "Live like you're on vacation!"

I mean, if it's not fun, then why the fuck are you doing it? I know a person has to work to eat/pay bills/live/have fun, but seriously? If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong!

I had fun last night, just hanging out with new friends. Sunday, I went on a charity motorcycle ride to benefit an old and great friend of mine, right before I went to the Broncos-Steelers football game. Didn't suck.[1]

I have fun every day. If I don't, I consider the day a waste.

Actually it doesn't. One could conceivably be all-powerful but not exceptionally intelligent.

We don't have time for fun. We are atheists.  Our soul...sole purpose is to wreck havoc and mayham all about...kind of like that car insurance advertisement. ;D

Are you trying to imply that havoc and mayhem are not fun?

I do not have "faith" in science. I have expectations of science. "Faith" in something is an unfounded assertion, whereas reasonable expectations require a precedent.

If so, then chronic masturbators have all the fun. ;)

Is this how kids nowadays talk about sex? Is this some sort of encrypted conversation about sexual exploits?
