More sex advice from the GOP
« on: August 23, 2012, 03:35:02 PM »
Tennessee state Sen. Stacey Campfield (R) falsely claimed on Thursday that it was nearly impossible for someone to contract AIDS through heterosexual contact.

“Most people realize that AIDS came from the homosexual community,” he told Michelangelo Signorile, who hosts a radio program on SiriusXM OutQ. “It was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. It was an airline pilot, if I recall.”

“My understanding is that it is virtually — not completely, but virtually — impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex.”

I'm so glad we have these guys looking out for us and making policies in our best interests.

I say prove it. Have sex with someone with AIDS. Heck, all GOP members should volunteer for such an important endeavor. Save for the closeted ones. Those poor souls probably already have AIDS.
The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.
Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?

Well, they can't PLAN to have sex with someone other than the person they are married to, because that is fornication.  They have to be tempted and have accidental sex, (because we are all sinners, afterall), and then pray for forgiveness.

But it is a good plan otherwise.

You know, I thought about that, but then I remembered that we'd be using that dreaded scientific method that republicans fear more than Satan himself. I guess we'll just have to take this one on faith.

Bestiality, Homophobia, and Aids all in one topic! Ohh my[1]. This is exactly why I'm so proud to be a Tennessean. Our GOP at it's finest, you other states need to represent!

Sometimes violence is the answer for these cretins.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

I live in Florida. Where we like to interfere into peoples personal lives if it has to do with the death of someone by natural means, or not.

Okay, not as kooky as these people but for people who say they are for individual freedoms, they really only mean for them.

Did Signorile attack Campfield's stupidity?

It is clear that to be a Republican is to personally endorse absolute stupidity.

Wow.
I mean, I was familiar with the notion that somehow the HI virus developped in the gay community, but where are all these details coming from? Fucking monkeys, airline pilots ... one would think the whole thing was televise live.[1]

The other fascinating thing is that so many people in power are either unwilling or unable to just - fucking - google - it. "It" being, like, idk, e.g. - and keep in my mind that this is only from the top of my head - "origin of AIDS/HIV". Yes, I'm angry.
Wait, "fascinating" isn't the word I wanted to put. "Reprehensible"? "Unconscionable?" "Disgusting"? Yeah, that's more like it.
 1. As a sidenote, assuming it had developed in the gay community - so the fuck what? How many diseases evolved in heterosexual communities? Are we to blame birds for the avian flu too? It never ceases to amaze me how much can be wrong with a statement of a mere few words. A testament to the power of language and human idiocy.
"Deferinate" itself appears to be a new word... though I'm perfectly carmotic with it.

Come on people, the transmission of the HI Virus is science. You can't expect these Republicans to understand, it is just too easy for them to make something up and believe it's the truth.

Is he chairman of the science committee?  They stick their head in the sand and go lalalala...can't hear you.  So its ok for a woman to be probed before abortions, if raped you can't get pregnant, and don't worry about AIDS unless you are gay and have not been cured.  Oh, and forget about any kind of quality health care or insurance.  I think I understand the GOP for this week.
Yo, put that in your pipe and smoke it.  Quit ragging on my Lord.
