It's not a cross burning

(1/1)

Nick:
Alabama pastor, Mel Lewis, is holding a "white Christians only" conference.  He sees whites as the "real" chosen people.  The Alabama town is kind of upset not wanting to be seen as a racist place.  The "good" pastor said about the grand finally cross burning..."It's not a cross burning but rather sacred Christian cross lighting."  He sounds like he could be a FOX News contributor. lol

Barracuda:
smh. His church should be burnt down, and labeled a "sacred church lighting" so he can't get mad.

IAmFirst:
Lovely. Hey, actually, I'm glad or more open racism/misrepresentation/etc.

Show those true colors, Dreamcoat. :D

Graybeard:
I am not sure why this was brought up, as the Pastor explained, it is simply "sacred Christian cross lighting." This is an old tradition dating back to 1865 and such luminaries as General Nathan Bedford ForrestWiki and  Brigadier General George GordonWiki - nothing at all to do with any other social organisation dedicated to self-improvement!

Goodness me! The next thing is that people will object to 4th July or Washington's Birthday or other American traditions...

Frank:
So what we have is a bunch of old school, small town racists having a three day get together and embarrassing the small town they're holding it in. I'm sure there is probably a law against this kind of whites only thing but since nobody with a better than hat size IQ would be seen dead there it would appear that there is no much point in trying to enforce it.

From the video I've seen they appear to be the usual bunch of flabby, decrepit, good ol' boys. Well past their sell by date. With a bit of luck they'll soon be dropping off the perch and the world wil be rid of them, which will be no bad thing.
