God hates Colorado Springs

  Colorado Springs is very well known as a hotbed (bad pun) of right wing evangelical organizations,
like Focus On The Family, USAF Academy, Ted Haggart, etc. Doesn't add up if you ask me. You got to remember, God appears to be near sighted.  He misses a lot.  Could be He is upset with Obama's immigration stand for young people here as children and now able to stay.  Colorado has a lot of illegals.  Or Ted may have fallen off the wagon again. ;)

Not to mention Ohio, Va, Md, Nj... No electricity, so no AC, no TV, no internet, and 100 deg + Happy Saturday... Probably be over soon but lots more will die from the heat than died from the Co fires.

The fire got to within 100 yards of the house I lived in when I lived in Colorado Springs. Thirty years ago. On Friday, God figured out that I'd moved so he backed off.

It was some crazy shit going on here in COS! I've lived here 40+ years and haven't seen anything like it.

Of course, the prayer warriors were blowing up Facebook and the local newspaper.

Meanwhile, I was housing evacuues, and donating goods and cash to the efforts. That's not to say there weren't xians doing the same, but i saw some incredilbly stupid posts and opinions being vented about the power of their non-existant god. Blech.
