Vatican and FOX News

The Vatican has hired a FOX News correspondent (Greg Burke) to help it with its image in the US.  That says a lot.  I could do the same thing. "Stop molesting kids" to start with.  Quit being hypocrites for another.  Seems simple enough.

I guess Burke is from St. Louis and is a member of the Conservative Catholic group called Opus Dei.

Man, the Catholic Church use to be focused on helping the poor.  Now it is conservative social issues like the Southern evangelicals.

A thoroughly corrupt church allies with the largest propaganda network, Faux News.  Now that makes perfect sense.  >:(

If Goebbels were alive today, the church would have probably chosen him.

Burke describes himself as an "old-fashioned Midwestern Catholic whose mother went to Mass every day."  Being a member of Opus Dei "might come into play."  Hmm... wonder what that means.  He believes he was chosen for the job for a combination of reasons,

Shit, already sounds like a fundie with words like "shaping" and "molding".

I'll give him a nod for putting journalist first in his future reporting. I will be hoping for him to run to us atheists seeking the real holy spirit; logic, reason, knowledge.

If he really does put journalism first, and respects his duty as an informer to the masses, let's see what truth he finds. If he feels any corruption (as a believer and/or journalist), let's see him get fired from FOX and be welcomed at a Dawkins seminar. :D
