Hi all

I've asked for my account to be deleted. I just can't afford to be on this site, I am falling behind in my work and its starting to be a real problem. I've tried twice to stop participating but I just always log back on and keep debating. It's pathetic, but it's one of my weaknesses.

Thanks for your participation in my comments, although you disagree with them. Most of you have been quite courteous really.

MM had enough time on this forum to start a 'reviews' thread and a 'joke' thread when he found his beliefs and arguments being systematically dismantled in every thread he 'contributed' to.

He had even developed the habit of abandoning one thread when he couldn't provide any coherent answers, telling everyone he was moving on, and then re-posting virtually identical arguments in a different one.

MM wasn't at all classy and deserves a similar standard of farewell.

I took his frivolous activities, when he had stated in other threads that he was leaving them as he 'hadn't time' or was 'too tired' to respond, as an example of being able to find the time to participate in non-challenging threads whilst ignoring the uncomfortable fact that he had nothing to back his arguments with in the threads he had attempted to debate in.

We clearly have different views of this ex-member and his motivations, shall we leave it at that?

I agree, MagicMiles.  I quit checking it for a few hours and got some actual work done on a project for which the materials (wonderful scrap) were waiting for me to do something.

I once saw an article (didn't actually read it) by a minister who posts on a forum on how to cure internet addiction.  He had marshalled a bunch of Bible quotes, of course.

One year for a while I tried a Netless Thursday, like the Meatless Tuesday in WW2.  Never start the browser on Thursday.   But I wasn't able to keep with it.

I stayed away about a year after having pointed out to me I was being a pain in the ass, but I forgot my long time username. Hence the new and improved pain in the ass.
