Search doesn't seem to work

I haven't been able to get the search box to return results for anything. For example, I'm in the WhyWontGodHealAmputees forum, and I search for "santorum" (without quotes). It returns zero results.

What's up?

dunno.  I did a search for santorum and got 39 results.

It is often slow, and sometimes it poops out.  But when I refresh or come back later I get some kind of result.
