WTF is happening with this forum's server?

Do we know if the thing's not going to shut down for another week starting tomorrow, or...?

A crash was bound to happen. Even the homepage was messed up at one point. Did you ever get the "Resource limit has been reached" messaged? I saw that as a sign from god herself the forum would go down at some point in the near future.

I edit a lot of my posts. The reason being it to add content or to correct grammar/wording. All edits to remove wording get a strike through through the wording.

The first time it crashed I got an error message saying that the account had been suspended before it got back up again... and crashed for a second time. This time it just crashed.

I blame the fairies.

Sign that the hamsters were taking unauthorized breaks. Time to retire the batch and get some fresh ones. However, you're supposed to have the new ones before you release or "retire" the old ones. Guess they expired before some new ones could be collected.

Every time this happens I get the strangest feeling that all the servers are sitting in some guys basement somewhere, cobbled together out of old computers and a T1 line running across a yard into some building next door, tucked behind a cabinet nobody has moved for 15 years.

I then imagine the IT sitting in a scruffy old chair, next to a pile of pizza boxes playing World of Warcraft and shunning the sunlight like Smeagol.

The server is a 386 computer that was used for a local BBS until the internet came along.
