I can imagine this to be very inflammatory to christians. I wish someone had the balls to run this as a bus campaign instead of the wimpy, "I'm good without god." I'd like to see a counter to the westboro christians.

I suppose it has relevance.  One problem with it, though, is the issue of communication, or lack thereof.

I think this is great, it's right on the money.

 It would piss off most Xians definitely.

I had a thread a while back where people speculated regarding the questions of whether or not religionists can percieve satire.  The concensus was that they often can, so long as it is not directed towards thier religion...and some can, even then..like Stephen Colbert. 

But with others, the closer you get to the core of their beliefs, the more defensive and violent they become. 

I picture some reading this and then acting like the dogs.

I'm a Christian. The analogy is not "inflammatory" to me, does not "incense" me, and does not "piss me off."

Two things come to mind, though. One thing is that for a better analogy, it should not read that the breeder sent his son (period) but that he sent his son in the form of that same breed of dog. And this goes along with what one other user commented about the issue of communication.

The other thing is that Jesus claimed he and the Father were one. In the analogy, the son-dog that the breeder sends would have to be one with the breeder. So the breeder is incurring the wrath/pain/agony/punishment/etc just as much as the son-dog is.
