I am Legend 2 trailer
« on: September 10, 2011, 08:08:46 PM »
Just saw this and thought I would share...the first was great but I was skeptical about how they could make a sequel. Enjoy!

I show affection for my pets by holding them against me and whispering, "I love you" repeatedly as they struggle to break free.

First one was trash. All that christian pablum made me sick to my stomach.

Book was better. Omega Man was better too.
You believe evolution and there is no evidence for that. Where is the fossil record of a half man half ape. I've only ever heard about it in reading.

Maybe the link is messed up... Cause all I get is a Rick Roll.

But that can't be right, because that would mean you still think that shit is funny and/or clever 5 years after Rick Rolling was invented.

Would you like to maybe throw out an "Allllllrighty Then!" or a "Schwing!" as long as we're being timely? Or maybe an "I'm Rick James, bitch!"? Those are always nice.  &)

You mean these things don't actually get funnier with age? ah, crap.

Now I wish I hadn't responded with my Urkel impression of "Did I do thaaaat?" when my boss told me off for not meeting my targets.... and I was sure I was gonna get a raise when I said "Show me the moneeeey!!!" in our last meeting.

... and all that time I spent in front of the mirror working on my impression of a grizzled 1890's prospector in my quest to sound even more outdated so I would be hilariously cool... all gone to waste.

"I'm Rick James, bitch!"

Never gets old.

Yes. Yes.

I also enjoy such classics as "is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?"

Lol... I can give the Wayne Brady line a pass. Yeah, it's dated, but it hasn't been driven into the ground.

I swear to Christ, if I hear one more drunk do a Lil' Jon impression, I'm going to choke the entire world to death. There ought to be a law or something that governs who can quote pop-culture phrases, and when.

Chapelle's show was awesome, obviously... All four episodes of it or whatever... Unfortunately drunk white America has ruined half the punchlines for me.  :P

FIRST LAW:

(1) If you are going to quote the Simpsons, the quote must be relavant to the current conversation or you get two punches in the arm.

An Omnipowerful God needed to sacrifice himself to himself (but only for a long weekend) in order to avert his own wrath against his own creations who he made in a manner knowing that they weren't going to live up to his standards.

And you should feel guilty for this. Give me money.

I couldn't watch the trailer, apparently the Library I am at disabled that feature, or as it says on the screen "disabled by request of user".  I really need to get the internet back in my house.

I enjoyed the first one; didn't really care for the alternative ending but still, I enjoyed it.

Please forgive me for my delayed reactions...I have been and will continue to be working out of town for the next couple of weeks...Internet is not so much available where I stay during the week. Anybody live in or near Murphreesboro TN? I am so desperately lonely :(   All I want to do is play some darts or pool and drink a few beers...

WTF??? Where did you hear that phrase?  Seriously?

It was long ago...a joke I heard from my brother and his friends. It was told to ferret out those weak willed kids who tried so desperately to be accepted that they would laugh at anything. It went something like this;

Two birds were sitting in a bird bath out in the front yard washing up
One bird looks at the other and asks if he can borrow some soap
The other bird replied, "no soap...radio"

Where they heard it, I have not a clue.

My mom was born and raised in New York in the 40s and 50s.  She told me that the kids that had a clue would all laugh, and those who were not in on the joke would also laugh in order to be a part of the group.  The last laugh came when the kids were told it was not meant to be funny, but to make them think they should be laughing.

Too weird to hear it from someone else.

So it seems were not so different you and I. Neat how these things get around. I was born in 75 so I was hearing and using this joke in the 80's. I was born and raised in upper east Tennessee.

That sort of thing makes be think of secret hand shakes and code language. A way to tell if someone is in the know. A way to recognize kindred spirits if you will.
