I did pray for you all yesterday and I didn't knew why I was crying and feeling so weak, now that I read your comments I think some of you might have a very strong evil influence, I cannot imagine why you care so much about my prayers. At the end I had the feeling that I did something, but I still have a lot of praying to do.

Atheists aren't evil, nor are we under any supernatural influence. We aren't angry with your god. We can't be angry with him because he is a fictional character of Hebrew mythology. That would be the equivalent of you being angry with Voldemort, and that would be irrational wouldn't it?

That's a really offensive thing to say.  I thought we were finally starting to make some progress against the myth that atheists must be motivated by evil.  I guess we'll just have to keep up the fight.

As is usually the case with atheists, we have different reasons.  For my own part, there are times when I do appreciate it when someone says that they'll pray for me (even though I don't think it will do any good), but this isn't one of them.  When a complete stranger says this to me, all I hear is smug, arrogant, condescension.  I don't want or need your pity.

At the end I had the feeling that I did something, but I still have a lot of praying to do.

Please do me the courtesy of not including me in your prayers.  Thank you.

Your questions are pretty simple, I guess you're a simple person all that matters is if you are a good person, being trully good is harder without God, that's all. So, someone who "believes" in God and acts wrong is not "good", eitherway it's not my call... the point is pretty simple actually and you dont even need to read the Bible to get it: "Be good".

And how is it harder to be "truly good" without god? Current prison statistics in North America would claim the contrary is true, there are alot more christian/religious inmates than there are atheist inmates.

I can get very outspoken against the people who come in here trying to undermine a serious discussion among sincere members with their little tricks. I was surrounded by illogical and prejudiced theists my entire (short) life, so I will tell them not to waste my time when they get in my (figurative) face during a discussion.
